How should I approach this?
Muaythaiboxer replied to TheArtOfBattle's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
get a good school that pushs you to get better and dont join a mcdojo (a school out for money) i would recomend that you find a school that trains alot (not 2 times a week) and is right for you. -
i run track and cross contry, wrestle, i think that if i hadent done this i would be half the martial artist i am today

List of most deadly martial arts
Muaythaiboxer replied to TKDguy's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
its the man not the art! -
i disagree with the anything over 40mins is a wast of time if i run for 2 hrs im going to be in better shape than a guy who runs 40 mins, if i train 30 hours a week then in going to be better than a guy who trains 5.

have you ever had to deal with a good wrestler the only way to not get taken down is to sprawl. there are few other ways that work as well. -
Chaz i do agree that if you took two guys off the street and one trained in san soo and the other in MMA that the san soo guy would probably deal with a street altercation faster than a MMA. but for most MMA the point of there training is to become good ring fighters and the self defence is just an added bonus. whale the San soo fighter is trained to fight on the street.

i would recomend the MMA place that couchs pros it will probably have the best conditioning and technique training.

the sprall is one of the best ways to avoid being taken down. as to the knee idea you can work the knees pretty well from the sprall. -
Thx Deadalus, keep watching MMA you will see me on top some day i nearly agree about the kung fu part but my TKD school is actually very good and is not like the normal TKD you see. as to the quiting them and spending that time doing MMA sparing i would but no one wants to do MMA in my town and believe me i have looked for potential oponents.

do them in sets of 25, and do as many pushups as you can it just takes time.

there was a guy who did a seminar on sikh weapons and he has this ring called a chakram that was sharpened on the outside and he twirled it around his finger and threw it and cut up a water mellon.

If you have your hands on the ground, kicks are the most effective way to hit mid-level targets at range. puting your hands on the ground is a good way to get the stuffing knocked out of you.

there are no points in Muay Thai under thai rules if there is no KO the fight is a draw. i may be mistaken but this is what i read. -
fancy stuff is a huge wast of time and wont ever help you and just takes away from your practicle practice.
