why everyone hates Taekwondo
Muaythaiboxer replied to white belt's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
TKD gets a bad rap because 90% of all TKD fighters are frome mcdojos and have no real skill. second TKD has way way to many head kicks and has no punchs the face. not to mention most of the time it is practiced light contact -

Are you a Thug or a Warrior?!
Muaythaiboxer replied to Empty Flower's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
just because you are a soldier that does not make you a warrior. in my opinion a warrior is someone who does the right thing no matter the cost. -
what i think the pro full contact people are trying to say is not that full contact is the only way but that some forms of training should never be done for instance light contact sparing (tap sparing) it makes it so you pull your techniques and lose power. if all you do it tap spar then you will not be able to use it full contact because you are conditioned to kick soft.

Muaythaiboxer replied to Cross_Trainer's topic in Pro Fighting Matches and Leagues
i think we can look forward to seeing a Pride/UFC unified tournament -
once again a kick to the knee by an inexperenced person will not do that much damage unless the knee is locked out (most people will have the knees bent) or if they hit really hard (which will be difficult because they have little training) a kick to the thigh will hurt with less power and you dont have to worry about doing any permenant damage. also the knee is a small target and it is diffcult to hit because it is usually moveing the thigh is a larger target and does not move as fast.

my first lao hu pai kung fu lessen i was very put off by what i considered a very unorganised class and a below average skill level in the students, but after the class i talked with the sifu and was very intreuged by the mans understanding of the martial arts, when i asked him to spar he accepted and i was really badly beaten. i then realized that this man was the best MA i had ever met. this was after 4 years in the martial arts and my whole life in boxing and wrestling.

Did your attitude and ego change when you...
Muaythaiboxer replied to Kenpo man's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
my personal opinion is the walk away, then walk away again, then show them why not to mess with you. -
one time i was the only one in my class to pass a testing (not being arrogant just telling a story) the board break was a jump spin side kick to break two boards (had to be on first attempt) and eveyone else botched it.
