  1. good in theory bad in real life but if you can make it work bravo to you in my experience it is best to cover up in a boxing stance and use evasive movemints (ducking ect) and to most importantly keep your chin down.
  2. i have been doing wresling sence i was old enough to get on the mat and martial arts sence i was 10 this move will not work unless your opponents leg is locked out and if that is the case it can be better delt with a side kick to his knee. batman2 what he is describeing is not a single leg but involves breaking the opponennts knee with the sholder.
  3. i will use bruce lee as an example he started to learn wing chun because he was beaten in a street fight. he trained like a madman and today he is considered to be a very good fighter.
  4. i dont believe that great fighters are born i believe they are made by hours of training and dedication if you where to take two people one and average joe and another with a huge amount of talent if the average joe works harder he will be better than the guy with the huge amount of talent.
  5. i hit the guy in the gut so my step was pretty direct
  6. its true that many blackbelts cant fight however it is also true that most blackbelts come from a mcdojo. at my high school there are no less than 12 blackbelts 9 of those being from the ATA. i saw one of the mcdojo guys fight with one of my wresler friends it lasted about 12 seconds a double leg and a quater stack and it was over.
  7. if i had to fight a guy with a knife i would try to hold the arm and hopefuly do a disarm i this wont work pease correct me.

  9. good post. it's pretty sad when i go to my martial arts class's how many people i see who only put half of there effort into training. To win on the street or in the ring you need to give 100% at all times and think possitive. I have been in three non martial arts related fights and i can tell you that if you dont train to win you wont win
  10. never under estimate females i know some girls that throw a mean elbow but i do agree that the average women wont do well with strikeing i'd recomend Krave Maga because although it wont make you a master fighter it may save your life + its easy to lurn.
  11. street fighter is right if you can RUN if not try to talk your way out. If you 100% have to fight expect to get cut and try to get ahold of his knife arm asap
  12. jkd is a good art but on the side try to get some judo, wresling, or bjj you cant go wrong with some good ground skills. And regards to your teacher being much better than you keep training and you will get there someday.
  13. i agree 100% with TJS the double leg is the way to go. you may also want to try a sweep to me throws are a little complex for the street but if you can pull them off go for the hip throw.
  14. i would try to avoide doing any kick above the chest there a little risky but if thats your cup of tea the spin heel or rear leg round house is the way to go
  15. I had this happen to me once. I used a step sidekick to stop the charge and hit him with an elbow then followed up with a knee. my advice keep your chin down and use sidekicks, thrustkicks, or elbows
