Kicks above the waist in a real fight?
Muaythaiboxer replied to longarm25's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
as others on this forum have put head kicks are risky, but that does not mean they are complety useless. i personally would never kick high in a real fight but thats just me, if you can make high kicks work then by all means use them! if not stay low i cant see want all the arguing is about. -

Witch one is the most famous style in the world?
Muaythaiboxer replied to yireses's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
tai chi is the most popular style in asia but here in the states is mcdojo TKD (ATA). -
just break the wrist and walk away... lol believe it or not that guy went to the same high school i do now for a short time. but seriosly i think this mcdojo get your blackbelt in a week crap is going to be the death of teakwondo in america. i go to one of the few good TKD schools i know of and the ATA is constantly trying to get rid of us here in town they wouldent even let us compete in there "open" tournament. it took me five years to get my blackbelt and i hear the ATA gives them out in like a year.

its a great idea. every once in awile we do that it feels really weird at first.

i would just love to take some of those guys to the ring and show everyone what crap there selling. i dont hate anyone but when people mess with the three best things in my life (family, buddhism, martial arts) i get pretty mad.
-
it just really makes me mad how schools like that make alot of money and claim to teach self defence when they never spar and teach nothing but jumping spining stuff. that is the big reason why teakwondo gets a bad rap from other schools. its all because of the ATA. and yes camon we have street cloths days at my teakwondo school.
