Double leg takedown, dumb judges no-see it every time!!!!! -
Episode 12 "Better Angels" airs tomorrow night. Should be interesting to see how the Randall dynamic plays out, as well to see how Carl handles being indirectly responsible for Dales death.

Yes, but that same zombie was to weak to hold on to a 12 yo boy(carl) earlier in the day!!!. I know i am nerd raging over this, but this idea that a zombie somehow can just tear a person limb from limb has always bugged me.

I think people need to understand the difference between movies and real life. Its fun to argue though. Im putting my money on Arnold in "Commando" that guy kills like 200 people with knives, grenades, hip fire with an m60 and even throws pipes at people. He is without a doubt the greatest martial artist ever captured on film.

And if that doesn't work, keep shooting, then throw your gun at it.

3/6 60 min assorted kickboxing with takedowns 3/7 Review of defensive posture and triangle application Freeroll Thanks for Tallgeese for having me into his home, great training. Hopefully we will see you at the end of the month for Liverpunch's wedding. -
AND ANOTHER THING!!!!: How are zombies strong enough to rip open a human abdomen????? Dale could have used himself a little Jits and he would have been fine. It pays to train!!!

Yep, it seem to me that Carl is learning that his actions in the ZA can possibly have dire consequences. The fact that when Dale was attacked Carl realized that he should have told the group that he stumbled upon a walker, instead he was too worried about getting in trouble. I hope the Carls loss of innocence plays out like in the comics, but i find that this episode was really more about Carl than anyone else. I too hate to lose Dale, but i agree that his influence on the group will be remembered. It will be interesting to see what role Randall will play in the group, i could see him being used similair to the Private Martinez character in the comics.

I get aggravated with people that swear by and only by big calibers for self defense. Any gun if used properly is dangerous enough to be fatal. Its very sad, but 3 people are dead in ohio at the hands of a gunman with a .22 caliber weapon.

Good stuff Tallgeese, I have been super on edge the last 24 hours do to being on lockdown at school due to some nutjob threatening the wrath of god upon school children at our building. There will be a thread posted on this shortly.

2/28 Last workout for about a 5 day period. Knife and stick disarms which resulted in me being poked in the eye, my top eyelide was pushed completely behind the eyeball and i had to roll it back out. I dont want to here that this is not a viable or effective technique. OUCH!!!! 30 min freeroll -

2/27 2 mile run Hopeful to start grappling again soon, my knee is feeling back to almost 100% -
After our last shooting excursion, I'm thinking about making a switch in my primary shotgun. That cut down shotgun, even with a pistol grip, way outperformed my 870. If it only had a buttstock and 2 barrels, I think I'd prefer it. So, I'm currently shopping for a side-by-side. I'd be stuck with 2 shots, but that equals 2 dead bad guys, and I can make those two shots super quick. Next time I'm down, I think I'm going to build a few walls and some ballistics gel to test out assorted weapons. We're going to have a science day. We need to build a shooting course, ive been thinking about doing that for a few years now, we just need an old abandoned house and some targets.

Glad to see that youve went full on Master Hearst when planning for a potential home invasion. Master Hearst, if you just read this, i mean it in the best way possible, please don't hurt me. I too live in an apartment, on the second floor no less. I have ran countless scenarios in my head and they all end the same way, grab the mossberg 500 loaded with buckshot and go to work. Now this may be oversimplified, but it seems to me that if someone is in my apartment illegally they had it coming. That being said, located within my five room apartment are the following weapons: Two hook swords(Yes those kind of hook sword that Kabal uses in mortal kombat), many assorted machetes and other bladed weapons, a beretta .40 cal pistol, a 12 gauge shotgun, golf clubs and other bludgeoning weapons. Considering i live in a much smaller area than Liverpunch, the closest thing i have had to a home invasion is when two jehovahs witnesses knocked on my door. Me being a victim of healthy amounts of paranoia was going through how i would defend myself against these two should they try anything.(This was before they introduced themselves to be Jehovahs witnesses). Sometimes you just have to act on the fly.

ARRRRGGHH!!! That was my reaction to the way episode 10 of the walking dead played out. I will start with what i liked: The continuation of the Rick/Shane storyline, The Rick/Shane fight, Rick finally sticking up to Shane, multiple zombie head stabbings, the Rick/Randall drive by shooting. What i disliked: The entire beth suicide story line, it just really seemed to grind the episode to a halt. I also want Andrea to get off my T.V. screen every time she shows up. Its not that i thought the episode was bad, it just could have been about 30 minutes instead of an hour, and it really didn't get the group any closer to getting off the farm.

It just came across the wire the english actor David Morrissey has been cast to play the governor in season 3. Sounds like good news for all you woodbury fans!!!!

DVR preview from episode 10-entitled "18 Miles Out". The appearance of an outsider puts Rick and Shane at odds; Hershel's youngest daughter faces a momentous decision and Andrea steps in to help. This episode looks to begin some sort of tipping point between rick and shane that i suspect will eventually resolve itself in the season finally, we shall see.
