  9. While you were busy with your training, i was training real life scenerio's by having Sensei Walk pull a live blade on me during Liverpunch's wedding reception. GOOD TIMES!!!
  10. Good points made by Montana, I am also in favor turning an attacker into a human sheild. Trying to work behind the intitial attacker, execute a sheet throw or some other control and drag him around, keeping him between you and your attackers while threatening great harm upon him, may buy you your chance to escape.
  11. 3/29 2 mile jog Assorted Knife, stick and gun drills in failing light.
  12. 3/28 drilled a series of sweeps from Spider guard, arm wrap spider, and butter fly guard. 15 minutes of boxing sparring to finish up.

  14. 3/26 Running/Sprinting/Stair Climb circuit.
  15. Just to give your some perspective, Masterpain and myself live in an extremely sparsely populated area in Illinois. The nearest reputable mma gym is 35-40 minutes away, the nearest traditional bjj gym is close to and hour away. We train out of a school that is based in Kempo Jujutsu. We also have set up contacts in different places so that occasionally we can visit mma classes, bjj classes, kyusho jutsu classes etc. Always keep in mind that the more people you come in to contact with, many of them will have something to teach you. I would give up alot of things to be 45 minutes away from BJJ instructor with the lineage of Matt Serra. Make sure you don't take this for granted.
  16. Masterpain is correct on both fronts, whenever we have a new student in class we try to go over many different self defense scenarios just to help them realize what is and isn't necessary force. It is very important for anyone to understand their states self defense laws, especially a martial artist.
  17. 3/22 Angle drills, light attack and defend Assorted boxing rounds trying to get masterpain more intense.
  18. Wow, good find tallgeese. Seems like he could have just rode mount until the cops got there. Seemed like he wanted to give the guy a break and let him leave before the fuzz showed up but the guy didn't take the hint.
  19. 3/21 Gi-work Reviewed a few grips and controls, sweeps and escapes. Nice easy night after two days of awful cardio.
  20. 3/20 2.5 mile run Stick and knife flow drills
  21. PTSD is real, and can be serious. It sounds like you have a pretty good handle on reality, but just be aware of the symptoms. Any traumatic event, whether it be a street fight or a battle in the jungle can cause mental health issues. Grossman has some really good insight on the subject on his books "On Combat", and "On Killing".
  22. 3/19 Sprint Circuit Stair run Grappling focused on side control, half-guard and negatives.
  23. I can testify, even a light strike on bare skin with one of these things hurts like crazy.
  24. AWESOME!!!!!! Well thats it for season 2, all kinds of secrets being revealed including the location of season 3. Thoughts?
  25. Season Finale in 30 minutes!!! Episode entitled "Beside the Dying Fire" I agree with masterpain that a large amount of Herschels group will become zombie fodder. I could see the writers keeping herschel around for a while to replace Dale as the "old" guy in the group. Either way should be awesome, can't wait.
