  8. maybe they want aspects of that art into their curriculum.
  9. so do adults in your school also learn the taikyoku katas or is it reserved for the chldren?
  10. "Oh yeah and Ong-Bak just looks like Kung Fu with more elbows and knees than Muay Thai." yep, same with karate and other traditional styles. In mine it would look like kickboxing more if we didn't chamber our punches so much.
  11. can you explain to me what is the brazilian kick, tornado kick, and barrel kicks?
  12. well we have grappling ,but it's not as much as judo ,hapkido,or something like that.

  16. LOL... it's almost too funny to watch. You know how Jackie Chan Movies are.... well this was worse. I had to stop watching it in English, and just read the subtitles. I have the american realease and I wasn't reffereing to the dubbing.I was reffering to what they took out.
  17. he he I got you hooked on that huh? by the way did you buy it at the store or did you go to the ebay link I posted?
  18. are these ground techniques similar to the techniques seen in judo or jiu jitsu?
  19. like mentioned already if it's for fun then yeah, but I wouldn't mind doing flashy stuff with weapons.Becuase chances are that youre not going to use a pair of sais , bo , escrima in a real fight. On the other hand empty handed all I want is usefull stuff.
  20. I have both of them too. They are some of my favorites . Anyways the other people also told me kyokushin , but like you they weren't sure.
  21. I'm about to start kobudo monday, can you guys tell me more about it please?I know the that it has the weapons mentioned ,except for the hoe(well at my dojo). How many katas does it have? Why you wear a black gi?Is there some form of sparring? How closely related is it to chinese weaponry(I'm asking because okinawan martial arts are closely related to chinese martial arts)? How long does it take to get a black belt in it?....etc
  22. I know that hawaiians light sticks ends on fire and spin them around for tourist.
  23. I just rented it yesterday.I think it's very entertaining.but I doubt that I would buy it.I'm more into the tournament fighter games. If it were a tournament gam with only chinese styles then I would probably buy it.
  24. how does kuk sool won spar?I know that it's a striking art ,but I've heard that it has a lot of grappling techniques. So would you spar with both or just striking? Also is it full contact?just curious
