well theres really no point as yousay,but the thing is that there are a lot of fake schools out there.so finding a school with an organization makes it easier to know if it's legit or not.

youre fighting grown men?how old are you?Also don't worry about the ratio of women to men,it's like that in most schools.I've even seen classes where theres only one girl.Also your school uses the belt system?I always see kung fu people with no ranking system or a sash system.Unless it's a kempo school.

well you just have to use what is called for at the moment.It's not a good idea to go and think I need to do a highblock and counter,you should be doing it without thinking on reflexes.

Hey guys I just had my first kobudo class yesterday night.It was great.It's harder than I thought , but very fun and entertaining.I started of with a bo staff which so far looks very good if you know how to use it.I asked my sensei what lineage of kobudo we practice at our dojo and I believe he said Yamashita Kobudo.So Yellow belt Andrew can you tell me more about that lineage of kobudo and how it's like compared to others?

well i guess that they put asian because that's what the public is familiar with

well yeah,but in a situation you can pull out things from katas and adapt them to the situation.I thought my system had a lot of katas,guess not.Goju has 12 and I heard that Uechi has 8,so I guess e have it easier in memorizing forms.

you didn't make a bad impression don't worry about that.Youre a begginer,we have all been there,I'm still kind of there too.as for your school it says shaolin , but it doesn't specify what type.I'm guessing it's a northern shaolin school by the looks of it.then again the website said that it was mixed with other kung fu styles, so I guess you should ask.
