well to my knowledge tkd and/or tang soo do derived from shotokan.

well if you take hapkido you wont have to take two styles at the same time and you will save money.also hapkido is a very brutal art,so if you ever need to deffend yourself hapkido will teach you very well.

well thse two arts do have influences from both japan and china so it would make sense to see some similarities.

I guess.Theres this brown belt at my school that probably has been training for 4 years and she still can't do a split.I've been training for about a year and a half and I was able to do the split's in less than a year.

well a lot of schools websites don't say we follow this or that lineage.They just say shotokan karate and part of jka or something like that.Or TKD and part of ITF.

guess so.I even think that it wouldn't be hard for a karate practitioner to switch over to a Korean style like Tang soo do or tae kwon do.Of course they don't have the same forms,but a lot of the basics are similar.

maybe he put things not common in wing chun like high kicks or spinning movements?

I'm not saying that okinawan and japanese karate are vastly different,just that they have some ovious diffeences.anyways like you said if one where to transfer to the other,it wouldn't be so hard to adjust.

nah I don't think jakie will be good for tekken, he's too much on the comedy side.I think that yuen woo ping or cory yuen will fit better for tekken.

Tony Jaa he was in the movie called Ong Bak. He did all his stunts with no wire work and it was one of the best martila arts movie ever.

shotokan as any other karate style is very effective in the street,it's just that they tend to be geared towards point fighitng.anyways if you do choose to go with shotokan,cangratulations,you made a great choice for a second style.

well I don't let it get to me that much being that there isn's really a need to,but the other day when a younger 100 lb girl beat me in point sparring my pride didn't feel so good.I guess it's ok though, she was a 1st kyu.
