You want a romantic song, get "I Believe" by Joe Satriani

lol Maybe he was going to say something about what the grading was going to be like towards the end, or what it would be like to fail or something. hehe

I use a variety of pushups and pullups along with some moderate weights due to my young age. Whatever you do, work your muscles to fatigue or otherwise you will not get nearly as good gains.

Ad, that Front Kick Back kick drill is useful, but even moreso if you change it to be a slow front kick, slow side kick, slow back kick Balance, hmm, Try balancing on one leg, balance on balls of feet, balancing with eyes closes, handstands, headstands, basically anything that will involve balance will help you to improve

Hello there, I have a question concerning gaining weight in muscle and what dietry intake exactly is needed I make sure I have a good protein intake, alongside a reasnoble amount of carbohydrates and water, but I have heard time to time that to gain weight you need to increase caloric intake so that you have excess calories. However, I would like to know how necessary lots of calories is, how important eating the most healthy sort of calory is, and if the excess calories will just convert to energy, if not used then fat. Help me out here? Ouss

McGee, I can't do any of those exercises due to the bad knee pains I get from that type of exercise. I am however going to start with slowly raising and lowering the leg, extending and holding it in the air etc. etc. to help in what ways I can Oh yes, and practicing every move I know 100 times each day before my grading in 8 days time I hope will help as well

I think everybody should be given equal respect, and we've never had any problems in our club with this.

Diferences in Chinese and Japanese/Okinawan martial arts
Jack replied to Phantasmatic's topic in Karate
Phantasmic, do you mean Internal/External arts, or Circular/Linear arts, or what? If thats the case then Chinese Gung Fu does seem to have more of a soft, circular style of fighting that Japanese Karate with its rigid blocks and linear style of fighting -
Hi y'all, I figured I could do with some input from everybody here. When performing a standard Side Kick, my supporting foot will turn 90 degrees so its facing outwards, yet as I extend my knee it tends to slip out to more of a 135 degree angle, which causes a slight momentary lapse of balance and makes withdrawing the extended leg more difficult. I was just wondering if there were any techniques to help with this, or if I should just kuckle down and keep practicing, or if this is ment to happen and is something we just get used to... heck, I've even heard you're supposed to turn your supporting foot 180 degrees. Thanks in advance
