  1. i noticed that one of the members in this forum suggested that weight lifting helps you loose weight, this point intrigued me and wondered if any of the members here could explain to how much this is actually is true because to my understanding weight lifiting doesnt help you build muscle but i am sure that there will be people who will disagree
  2. i thought of setting a new forum for this but i thought i might aswell keep it here, there have been alot of discussion on tv about the electronical instrument that you fit around your stomach do build up your abs, sound just like a gimic to give hopes and give money to the gullable overweight american crowd which will be answer to loosing weight rather than actually dieting or excercising. But will it actually show any definintion for a medium build slim person like myself??
  3. if you want to know how to kick high and want to perform some special stretches then i suggest reading Thomas Kurz Stretching Scientifically its a great book and im sure alot of the other members will agree
  4. i take in roughly 1650 calories daily, and i want to be 10stone, so i need to lose 9 kilorgrams, which equals to wanting me to loose about 20 pounds so isnt running 4km a day not enough if so how can i balance my diet?
  5. this is my daily regiment, ill do 2km between breakfast and lunch and then another 2km jog between lunch and dinner thats all im really doing, and not really cutting of any food in total i lose 300 calories by running that much and ive been told that to loose weight that you should really cut down by 300 calories of your daily intake, so im doin that arent i or should i be doin more??, cuz any more will really wear me down
  6. i am going to join some Capioera classes and i wanted ask what would i be likely to xpect?, i know only that the moves are similar to of break dancing and involves complex acrobatical moves such as handstands, cartwheels, leg sweeps etc... i just wanted to know what i will be expecting in the first lessons they told me that you need a martial arts license so obviously it is an established martial art, but the venue is at a dance school, so is capoiera purely dance, or martial art, or a bith of both?
  7. much respect to you cowobystu, u have really helped me out, i will attend the club on the saturdays and im going to check it out on tomorrow, thnx alot for your help and to others

    hindu

your actually misinterpreted the idea, the hindu push ups are used as a term ecspecially in the pakistani army, where they refer to as the push ups being hindu, because they hate the push ups so much, they call them hindu push ups due to the fact that they hate hindus so much, the palestinian referred at being a jew squat because they hate jews

    Abs.

bag work, you would be surprised but it would really help try doing lets say and intense jab, cross and hook session, for two minutes, then try your feet
  17. 5,9 tall can do a roundhouse to about 6,5 can do a outercrescent to about, 6,9, and a leg raise above 7 foot
  18. a long with the 2.5km metre jog every day i have also decided to inlcude one hour of bag work, and also shadow boxing aswell plus on top of that to cut down on second servings, overdoing it with sugar, and having he unhealthy snack such as crisps and sweets sound good enough to loose weight the reason why i aint really concentrating on the diet that much is that the idea really puts me off and im still slightly lost with it thanx Taikudo-da for that helpful information
  19. honestly.......
  20. 6??? meals a day, how exactly can i go about and plan that i thought you would mean by avoiding three meals tradition and just like skipping lunch
  21. it makes me feel better to hear that there are other people who know what i am going through
  22. as mentioned by kickchick, ....i think, Did you know that it takes 250,000 crunches to remove one pound of fat!
  23. in terms of diet stoppage, im sort of lost, this is my normal daily in take Breakfast : 2cups of tea + 2 toast with butter on Lunch :Chicken burger in two toast, with a ver small portion of lightly salted chips and three chicken nuggets Dinner : 4 minced beef tortios, within the three meals i would normally drink robinsons beverage drinks with the odd ready and salted packet of crisps, i started the diet by advoiding tea and toast and sticking to cereal, then cutting down my sugar in take, but in general i havent really done anything else in terms of diet, what else can be done towards the diet i calculated that my BMR was 1517, give a take a few, and my lean weight was 116 pounds, so how could i cut lets say four hundred calories of my given BMR considering what i eat and the excercise on top it
  24. i have been doing 2.5 km every morning before i eat at 7.5km speed for 20minutes hope to do that five days a week does that sound orite?? will i expect to see results in lets say two weeks time?
