  1. There are several little machines that do it.
  2. Almost everyone is nervous starting out. Alot of people still get nervous after awhile of training too. Just be yourself.
  3. Shootfighting is good for self defense. As for Ken Shamrock, I'd imagine he can handle himself well.
  4. Sorry but I found all of that to be extremely funny. You don't seem to be very open-minded so I'm not going to bother.
  5. Strayder, I think you have the wrong idea. I can't comment on fights being fixed because some probably are. Like I already said, shootfighting was made for fighting. So why don't you think it would be good for self-defense? And Hulk Hogan has nothing to do with shootfighting
  6. I've never heard anyone call it the "ultimate" art. Shootfighting is intended for fighting. It's mainly a mix of Muay Thai and Brazilian JuJitsu depending on the gym. Strengths and weaknesses depend on the gym. Some gyms only allow open handed body shots while others fight full contact. I'd say that its strength is also its weakness. Being well rounded. Instead of spending all your time striking or spending all your time grappling, your spending your time doing both. That makes it hard for beginners but the longer you train, the more you'll blend them together.
  7. OK thanks. I've been wondering how an Aikido student would defend against a jab. Thanks.
  8. I think almost everything is on tape these days. The things on Faces of Death and Band in America cant be showed on television though. Kind of like the show Cops. Things get recorded but not everything can be showed. Therefore, its on those videos. As for me being a freak,
  9. OK now I think someones messing with my mind. When I first read this that was't there. Or maybe it was. Anyways, I'll vote now
  10. When I was training, it was only in a gym. I guess I can't vote
  11. There is no winning a "street" fight. Theres not a ref to raise your hand afterwards. Its all about surviving.
  12. I'd go with shootfighting but anything can happen.
  13. As for a "street fight", its kill or be killed so to speak. All the rules go out the window and its all about survival. For those people still in school, then I guess its all about fighting back till a teacher breaks it up.
  14. Seems cool. I don't know whether or not I'm willing to travel that far though.
  15. Probably not the response you want but.......... I've seen them all and loved them all too. Same goes for Band in America.
  16. If you train everyday then I guess it wouldn't take a long time. I've seen 3-6 month camps that train everyday all day and get their belt after the course. I can try to find the link if your interested.
  17. Both are great and both can be effective. My question is how well can Aikido defend against a jab?
  18. Thats really up to you. My advice is to try them both and see which one is best for you.
  19. To keep this friendly i'll stick to my original statements. You know my opinion and I'll leave it at that.
  20. The heavy bag will help you develop more power.
  21. I've always been interested in Ninjitsu. Finding information on it is hard however. If you're truely learning, having fun, etc. then don't stress over it. Who knows, you might be the one to popularize your style and get everyones attention.
  22. I think it was just a joke. Howard Stern is hilarious
  23. I take glucose an hour before my workouts. It helps keep your muscles from getting sore.
  24. How do I conclude that? Because there is no dominant art. For all anyone knows, an eighty year old Aikido master could beat a twenty year old Muay Thai fighter. As for me living in a dream world,
