  1. Any kind of cardio should do.
  2. Well as it turns out, I might be starting Kendo. I found a website that supposively helps people find a Kendo dojo around them. I've sent them an email and I'm hoping they have some good info. It might be hard to find a Kendo place way down here in the south though
  3. You're a busy person Not sure about healthy but I don't see how you can learn alot about an art when you go to so many only once a week.
  4. Thanks Shotochem. Chh, it wasn't really about high standards. It's just that none of the places I visited held my interest. I can't picture myself actually wanting to go and train at any of those places. I'm not sure what I'm looking for actually. Whatever it is, I haven't found it yet.
  5. I have the same opinion as WC-Strayder but that was a little harsh
  6. I don't. Thats why I only tried to answer about weight lifting.
  7. Thanks but I've been on a break for awhile now.
  8. Well some of you may know that I've been looking for another place to train. It hasn't exactly been successful First it was the tornadoes, and now none of the dojo's seem interesting. I seriously want to get back into the swing of things but all of the places I've visited didn't really fascinate me. I enjoyed competing NHB at my old gym but that got old after a while. Maybe I'm just not an MA type of guy
  9. I have with a few friends. I've also been off the road a few times in my car but thats a different story
  10. On the days that I don't lift weights I don't lift weights Working out can be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be. Like I posted earlier, I workout 3-4 days a week (only 4 if I get bored on the weekends). On the days that I don't work out, I don't do anything. Just remember that your muscles healing properly plays a key factor in muscle growth. Their are always exceptions to the rules because I know people that work out almost every day with no problems. But thats not the case for most people.
  11. Thats actually the best thing to do. See for yourself (if money permits). And don't forget to report back
  12. Worry about the strength later. Healing takes time so take all the time that you need plus some. It seems that me and SaiFightsMS have the same opinion about it.
  13. 6 days on and 1 day off is overkill. I stick to 3-4 times a week. About gains. You wasn't specific but I'm guessing that you're talking about mass gain. Eat, Eat and Eat some more. And go easy on the cardio.
  14. I'm glad you mentioned the Total Gym because that's the main reason I posted. I just don't think Chuck Norris would lie to me I'm tempted to get one but spending $1700 on a machine just to test it seems a bit risky. I'm just searching for something new and interesting to spice up my workout. And whats an ab dolly?
  15. Well we could also go into the magical steak knife that can chop down a tree but that would be off subject I'm just curious if anyone has gotten good results from one. I'm not talking about the first six weeks either, someone thats out of shape can see results from just about any type of excercise. I'm more interested in finding out if someone has been using a specific machine for a few years and continue to progress.
  16. I disagree about some of that. I follow guide lines on what I eat and when I'm done with a mass gaining cycle I still eat 5-6 meals a day while losing the extra fat. But I do agree about getting off your butt
  17. I disagree with that. I think they're necessary.
  18. Has anyone ever bought a home exercise machine that actually worked? I normally make fun of those commercials and infomercials but I want to make sure that I'm not missing out on anything
  19. I don't think theres much else to be said Just remember that your diet plays a key role in weight loss.
  20. I'll never know until it happens, so hopefully I'll never know So I guess I have 2 choices: 1. get stabbed 2. keep my distance and wait for an opening But like I said, I hope I never have to find out. And I'd rather try my second choice
  21. I've never heard of any of them (don't yell at me ) I quit playing fighter games when Mortal Kombat was still cool
  22. I bet it is lol It should help with accuracy though.
  23. The training was hard physically but not that hard mentally for me. And no I didn't devote my life to it. But I'm sure that competitors on the edge of going pro don't have alot of free time.
  24. I was. I might go back or I might train somewhere else.
