  1. Wish i could, if i wasn't so far away!
  2. Yay good for you. I'm glad you got back in to it. It's the best thing i ever did and i love it too. Good luck with your training. Kez xx
  3. Funny but all the fatalitites and special moves are much harder to execute in the old ones than the new one's. Hmm yeah i agree with what your saying. Can't wait for the ps3!
  4. people don't get their spines ripped out of their bodies in WWF :D anyway i just got deception, it rocks. loving the new raiden. at the moment i can't decide whether i prefer the dark alliance combat system or this one...anyway i won't be bored for another year or so This is true but while visiting my brother in wales, my half brother decided to carry out wrestling moves on my son, i was impressed as he was hurt. This is the only thing i don't like about the wrestling, it's a bad influence on the kids. Glad you got the Mk game and you liked it, told you you wouldn't be dissapointed
  5. This seems to be a good idea, if you just give him your opinion, he may like it and maybe you could talk about...if not make him sleep on the sofa No seriously i can see where your coming from. We have kids and adults mixed classes and i hate it but there aren't enough students to split us all up. Good luck!
  6. just move on like everyone else says, find another instructor, i'm sure you can get someone better than that and get proper training.
  7. Thank you Jiffy!!! Someone agrees with me
  8. Does remind a little of hangestu, good vid!
  9. Cheers guys lots of good points. I haven't seen him yet, he wasn't in training in monday, but i've no doubt i will see him on friday, in the hope we are going out for a beer.
  10. Lol it quite like that for me, i simply had a needle in my mouth and some sedation in my veins and it took around 15 minutes, i was out of training for a week....and it's still sore and it was done at the end of may!
  11. Bruce Lee was a legend. His movies were fab and his morals and life is very heart warming. The anamosity he had to endure through teaching his cultures was hard on him and he carried on battling even through his bad back injury. I think he would still be the same, even at 65. But as everyone else says..wise but likely rich.
  12. Being confronted by a drunk can be quite scary, simply because they are intoxicated and they are capeable of doing things that they wouldn't normally (or at least they think they are). I have been on the bus many times with my two sons where there has been a drunk man, who has wet himself, wobbling about everywhere and shouting obscenities. It's not a good thing for my children to see, and when we are in that sitution i protect them like they are gold. The thing is it can be quite intimidating. I suppose what im trying to say is if a guy is that drunk all you would have to do is give him a little push and he will be on his bottom. I don't think there would be any need to go into full on martial arts for someone who doesn't know what day of the week it is.
  13. Who's in this film and is it available on dvd?
  14. I have only ever heard of kanku dai and kanku sho in shotokan
  15. You had good reactions. I am useless in situations like that, i don't have much confidence and tend to freeze. I think you handled it very well, at the end of the day you felt threatend and you were protecting yourself and of course your best friend...i wish i had a best friend like that i can tell you. Good for you hun!
  16. Cool i may see if i can get it cheap off ebay. I don't mind buying dvds i have never seen, i kinda collect them...a dvd fanatic lol
  17. Yeah i like that idea to! I do see him more of a father figure and as i said before i look up to him and respect him because of his status, he is basically where i wanna be. I can feel him flirting and it is flattering but it's just a no go! He seems to be looking out for me a bit, i'm going for 1st kyu in two weeks and he has been helping me out before lessons, which again will make things awkward. I am going to take that advice and tell him before we go out and invite everyone else along. That will take away any tension and then it's up to him weather he comes along. Also if i invite everyone else he will realise i don't want to be with him. Thank you!!!!!
  18. I haven't seen the last boy scout, might have to check that one out.
  19. I have to be honest the pain has eased and training hasn't caused to many problems, just the odd twinge. I will still go see the doctor though to get it checked. Thanks guys!
  20. Thanks guys. It's not something i shout on about because it is personal. Luckily this guy is an assistant instructor and he only teaches the lower grades, mainly the kids. I hate my orientation sometimes because i find it so difficult being friends with guys because they think if they do enough for me they can 'convert' me it makes life very difficult. Sometimes they just dont get the message and keep on and on! I think i will go for that drink with him next week and use that opportunity to tell him i am not interested, i can't exactly discuss this with him in the dojo. To be honest he must be in his early 50's as it is, i'm only 29 why would he think he would have a chance with a girl that age anyway. He is a nice guy so hopefully his ego wont be to battered afterwards.
  21. Ok i have a dilema at the moment. One of the instructors in my dojo has the hots for me, he is a second dan and a nice guy. I look up to him and do like his company. Here are the problems. 1. I don't date guys, only women. 2. He must be at least 20 years older than me. And the most obvious thing is that i would like to remain friends with him without making it look like i'm using him or leading him on. The thing is he gives me rides home from karate, which i greatly appreciate because the dojo is in a rough area and it's some way from home, also he has invited me out for a drink next week, i would like to say yes but i would be worried if he tried to kiss me, i would then have to tell him my preference and then i could lose him as a friend. In the dojo i can tell how he feels by the way he acts around me and before the lesson starts he often lets out hints that i'm 'pretty' and things. Has anyone ever experience anything similar, can anyone offer any advice on what to do? I'm at a loss now Kez x
  22. Hehe Sohan bet that made your head grow that big you couldn't get through the door lol. That would have flattered me!
