Yep i do! It gives me motivation when i dont feel like training but know i have too. Normally it will be rock, whitesnake, chicago, bryan adams, Billy Idol, survivor...80's era.

Hmm yeah my sensei is Godan then. He has been training 30 years uppermpost respect for him. He shouts sometimes though lol

I had ten years out before i went back to my original club. The sensei did remember me and allowed me back on my old belt, but i had to stay there for six months before i could grade. As everyone else says im sure it will come flooding back as it did with me, you'll soon have that black belt on again!

This thread will likely only require one post to answer my question With the dan grades what are the names. i.e 1st dan is Shodan, can someone please tell me the order of the rest? Just out of interest really so when someone says they are a nidan i'll know where they are up to. Also what is the requirement normally between dan's? Cheers

So shouldn't you use the ankle/wrist weights for training? I was thinking of getting myself some for when i practise my karate at home for building muscle and strength in my arms and legs. I dont think i even considered wearing them in daily routines, but i guess i can now.

YIPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I passed. This morning i felt terrible but as people have said on here it was just like the sickness didnt exist and it was brilliant. I messed up on one part and that was the last three moves of Bassai Dai. A young lad on the side lines had his legs sticking out and i tripped on them, totally messed up my last few moves but sensei saw what happened and didnt judge me on it. I am so happy now, happy to sit on this belt for as long as it takes before grading for my black belt. I am so pleased to be finally 1st kyu!

I'm just the same as that bushido, i feel like crying when i can't get to a class let alone having to take time off for another reason...thats how important and serious it is
