  1. u just got tagged? jesus when we are sparring at the dojo we let eachother know that our hands are down or our elbows are flaring by hitting eachother there as hard as we can ive learned better this way.......back in the day when i was doing TKD our instructor used to just tag us to let us know there is an opening much like you were saying but in kickboxing we take advantage of that oppurtunity and pummel eachother
  2. before a bout i keep to myself and i mentally psyhc myself up. i just keep it all bottled up within me and when i got in the ring i unleash it and i do what i gotta do to win
  3. i invested in top ten headgear from germany, its worth it i think it doesnt limit my visibility at all but id rather not wear it
  4. i dont like headgear but i gotta wear it any way since i am an amateur.......i think it just gives you a false sense protection because i have sparred with and without headgear and getting hit in the head without wearing headgear feels just the same while i am wearing it
  5. weed is not as bad a tobacco and ive never heard of anybody getting killed by smoking weed. but it does make you really slow! talk to some guys in my english class........after 5 mins with them you'll know that they like to get a little toasty on the weekends i do not smoke weed and dont really plan to either......but if u do it its not really that big of a deal i just tend to stay away from the drugs

  13. dont teach now, wait till you are older....thats all i can say
  14. yesterday i saw some muay thai on tv........a few impressive bouts were showcased......the first fight for the womens middleweight title was pretty good. both fighters exchange good punches and then went straight to the clinch and just started kneeing eachother the fighter from calgary won that bout there was another fight with Sokim "the machine" OR vs. a fighter whose name i cannot remember (he was from thailand) but it was a real good fight. the canadian was surely the aggressor but after the 3rd round the fight was stopped because the thai got in a really good elbow and cut the canadians eye. the doctor had to stop the fight none the less it was one hell of a fight hopefully there will be more muay thai on tsn
  15. yes if you are a black belt in one style and completely going into a different style then you should start from white belt. i know a few jiu jitsu black belts (3rd - 4th dans) who switched over to judo and automatically got a brown belt, i think that is ok because of the many parallels between jiu jitsu and judo, a jiu jitsu buddy of mine who is a blue belt went to a judo tournament a little while back and having a few people from the canadian judo council watch him fight they automatically put him the rank of orange belt, i think that is ok as well because the council saw him fight. but other then that i think with each art you should always start at white
  16. if you are gonna cross train your muay thai with something else, do it with a grappling style, that way you will be a well rounded fighter in the ring and on the street
