  1. yes that was a great article i disagree with the title if you dont have the stamina to last in a tournament then youve has it. Reaction speed is to do more physical than mental you may tell your self to move but the speed at which your body moves is limited to your muscle memory. It is also to do with if you get hit how much your body can take you maybe able to take the pain mentally but if you body fails them theres nothing you can do. its like a car with out a wheel it may have its ECU (engine control unit) basically the brain of the car but with out the wheel its not going anywhere. Im 16 and although similar to 2ndBBLittle i belive that age doesnt matter as its just a number. Remember the rumble in the jungle muhammed ali waited for George Foreman to get tired and he lost because he didnt have the stamina. Muhammed one because he had the mental so its a combination of both.
  2. Is it really true that wing chun has this many locks an throws without repatition because I dont belive it is possible. Also is there a website or a good book that contains all of the locks and the throws??
  3. the linage is what you want and this guy has it so its a very good school tai chis good as well
  4. where abouts in London are u obese ninja? Welcome
  5. i have to see the full movie tony jaar is devistating but i wonder how good he is in real life??? people dont attack one at a time.
  6. I actually love wing chun as an art but i dont take it for various reasons-lack proper Yip Man linage schools in england. I know basic wing chung blocks and strikes as well as the training concepts e.g center line theory and i actually found that when i get close to an opponent i was actually doing wing chun and not karate but it works. At close range wing chun i devistating and beats karate any day but when i apply the wing chun with some karate take downs it works perfectly for me i really would like to take it but i cant anyone know of any wing chun schools in south east London???

  10. Ill give you one example Bruce Lee tried to do too much and he was struggling by the time he died
  11. for neck strenght any form of motorsport is good where you body has to hold you neck up against g force but other than that rather expensive solution i dont have one
  12. I remember the old debates i dont have to do them any more and i quite miss them you need to think why it is the best martial art and also have some facts to back it up you could argue for example that a kung fu practitioner is able to implement chi gung into his strikes where as in other martial arts they dont do this and thus they are less powerful. You could also argue that its stance are generally higher than karate stances for example and they have quicker movement in that respect. bruce lee studided a form of kung fu and had great movement in comparisson to chuck norris for example.
  13. Im not to bothered with my rank as i have a lot of knowledge which is more important i used to value my rank until it became less important to me i find it hard to explain why i mean i like to progress but i have reached a point where learning and my knowledge is worthy a lot more than what my rank says i can do plus that rank is only in that style and in knowledge i have gained far more than what the rank shows
  14. Just get some media on the martial art and teach yourself if taught myself various things from about 5 different styles and i can execute them correctly however if you are going to do this you should have a solid background in one martial art look for an art you like and if you still want to do krav manga then teach yourself while doing that other martial art
  15. bruce lee didnt have extensive training in any martial art i man he did wing chun for a number of years under Sifu Yip Man but noware near the number of years you stated if you want to make up your own style then you can really as Bruce lee once said style doesnt exist we only have 2 hands and 2 feet and in essence we do everything similar but everyone even if they are doing the same style will not do the technique the same so everyone already has their own style and if they want to comercialise it it will not be possible because it was intended for only one person eg nobody will be able to match Bruce Lee as there was only one of him and therefore JKD is clever in that it says add essentially your own so its your style again
  16. I have been taught horizontal but when i train i always use a verticle fist as it is faster which in turn means it is more powerful and is more biomechanically stable

  23. It was myself that wanted to do martial art and once i statrted i got hooked and i guess bruce lee and jackie chan have been my inspiration but the thing that gives me the biggest inspiration is the want for me to improve even when i get better i want to be perfect at everything not just martial art.
