Most people lean back to get height on their kicks me also. However the more weight you keep over the kick the more powerful it is. Aim a little lower high kicks never work in real fights. Abdonmen or rib height is perfect. Look at the burce lee picture se how he is leaning into the kick with his upper body.

I was also thinking of green tea and zinc + i have found that light exercise seems to help. Water is also good as it helps flush the virus out.

I recently heard of this korean martial art and i would like to know more about it if possible, some history, techniques, forms etc

I think i might know what it is although i cant be certain. You said in your other post you have a phycolgical burdon and where fealing guilty. When you feel guilty you make yourself feel anxious. This can in tern lead to yourself swollowing a lot. This make your throat feel weird and tight. I had a very similar thing i thought my glands where hurting where in fact it was my throat muscles. The doctor told me to stop swollowing as much. This will allow muscles to relax. You should see a doctor anyway but im pretty sure im right. He will probably tell you its nothing to worry about and by doing that it gives you less stress and the problem will fix its self.

practice turning off light switches with round kicks its good for accuracy. Also do stretching while your watching TV or leg raises

I was just wondering what everyones opinions on this was (basically why we go on these forums) Is there ever a need to fight? no matter what anyone says there is always a chance to walk away. However this may not be necessarily true as martial arts started to protect yourself against threats(contradiction). Another thing is that its in our nature to fight due to survival of the fittest etc

Yeah my sensei informed me about this a few weeks ago i dont think i can go but it looks good

When i am sparring or fighting people i seem to struggle and i just kind of forget everything that i have been taught. The thing is my knowledge of the martial arts are very good and i have many tactics and stratergies in my locker to use. The problem is is that i just 'dont'. I seem to stuggle mainly against bigger opponents as i am only about 5"6 and weight about 63kg dunno what that is in pounds i think its like 120 or something. Most people that i face even with little or no training seem to beat me just because they are bigger. Not being big headed i would say that i am faster and know more than them i just dont use it. im kinda at a loss i lose too much.

all i can suggest is a flash drive mp3 player ipods are hard drive which have disks inside them when you jump around they tend to break flash drive players dont have disks they are just a circuit board. My freind has a good goodmans player but as im not im americ you can probably get better ones out there.

I have always wondered which one is better. For me the vertical fist is faster but im used to the horizontal because of my style. I know that the vertical is mechically better in regards to the human skeleton. However the horizontal executes more press due to hitting with the first two knuckles (this can also be done with the vertical fist) I know that you will say which one works best for me but biologically and physically(power, force and momentum wise) one must be better than the other. Im also including a poll to see which one everyone prefers.

About 7.30 but that was on a tredmill so it doesnt count i could probably shave about a minuite of that cos i tend to sprint the last 200m and its more diffuicult to accelerate that quickly on a tredmill. I dunno about 40yrds but i didnt 30m in about 5 sec when i was younger

Try bending your knees and lean slightly forward

Everything leave no stone unturned it is only going to help you. For example you may do kung fu and therefore dont do as much grappling as say a judo person would, however if you have trained the whole of you body it will enable you to perform better when put in unfamiliar situations

Try both pick which one is better based on the people, class sizes, pricing, lesson plans and so on
