  1. you might be able to thrust your fingers through unopened cans of coke like bruce lee
  2. Dont worry about it i get this as well and no matter what happens you will not chuck up unless you have eaten just before you have gone. Dont eat too soon before it or you will probably get trapped gas in you stomach which makes you feel sick. Also if you dont eat your so hungry that you feel sick anyway and you wil feel very tired becasue your body hasnt had any food to turn into energy. Plus you may be making yourself feel sick by worrying about feeling sick it makes you nervous and then as a consequence you feel sick. Water is very good for getting rid of aniousness and alcohol works as well but not before training. Also be aware if you are doing any exercise that makes you breath heavily you may actually be swallowing the air instead of breathing it in. You absolutely wont be sick.

  5. Yeh i listen to rock music but also Rap and some Hip Hop has been known to work for me as well
  6. I dont know what it is but karate movements are not tense they are strong there is a subtle difference. Dont try to hit hard as that will tighten you biceps up you only want the triceps to work in this one. Just try to hit fast rather than hard, people that try to hit hard they actually have a weak hit.The faster you hit the more powerful your punch will be because Force=MassXAcceleration. Dont bother tensing at the end as that will slow the punch right at the end and that is bad a lot of people are still taught this but unless you do it properly the biceps tense and you get slowed down there will be a stage when you can just tense your fist but if you make a good fist in the first place their is no point because it doesnt make your punch stronger.

  21. doesnt matter essentially they have the same basics origin Basically a man called Gichin Funokoshi went to okinawa and when he was there he was taught karate by 2 instructors of different styles (Shorei-Ryu) and (Shorin-Ryu) and he came back to japan and combined these two to make shotokan the stye is named after Funokoshis nickname shoto. The two style one was vey strong and hard slow movements and the other has fast agile and light footed movements. Shotokan is characterised by its long stances and very powerful punches through the use of the hips some katas contain more of the agile stuff such as enpi and some of the strong slow stuff like hangetsu. Many styles where further developed form shotokan such as shotokai (more sport karate) and Wado-Ryu which was made by one fo Funokoshis top students. For now thats all you need to know but the long stances are there so that you can learn the hip action and then learn to apply that in short self defence stances
