yeah the best way to do it is to keep kicking a sand bag or you can do what ive done if you dont have a sand bag and put some sand in a plastic bag and then put that into a sock make sure there is enough sand to fill the foot part of the sock. then you tie the ankle part up and then wrap in in to two more socks and do the same with each one then get one or two more and put the others in but dont tie a not so it should now look like a small sand bag and you can use this for conditioning your shins. in my experience this is better then using bamboo i always come out with loads of bruises after using the bamboo stick.

HEAD DAMAGE
Ben Martin replied to DylanMcCullough's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
Looks like you might be suffering from to many head shots -
No. the hook and uppercut are present, but are seemingly non-existant. I don't think I've ever seen one use a body hook. That's not to say that they don't, just that I haven't seen it. A knee to the body is more damaging. yeah thats right, punches are low scored in MT so they are mainly used to set up other moves such as a jab reverse leg kick.

i can't remember on what he needs to work on as its been along time since i saw him last fight in the final. what i do remember is thinking that peter could have and should have won but he let him self get outboxed when he shouldn't have and he didn't fight his fight. oh well maybe he'll win this time..... and maybe not.

i think you should just dump him and go out with me and give the tickets to me. ha really though i would be over the moon if my lady got me tickets to the rematch i think id have 2 marry her. i loved contender and couldn't wait for it every week i'd even tape it if i was out and watch it the next day. i hope Peter Manfredo wins.

how do you mean? with any striking art it is better to be taller as you have a longer reach. but if you are short or have short arms like i do you will learn fight on the inside and use your power to your advantage like tyson used to. when you do tourneys you will usually fight someone roughly your hight and size unless your really unlucky and they made a mistake like what happened at my last one and i had to fight a guys whos head started where mine stopped ha.

the main difference between kickboxing and muay thai is the face that muay thai only really uses front and round kick. but with kick boxing you learn all the basic kicks and spinning and jumping ones too. also you can knee and elbow in muay thai too. i think you should have a few lessons at both and then decide. personaly im thinking to making muay thai my main MA after doing two years at kickboxing (though i will still do KB) im not really enjoying all these spinning kicks and i like being able to grab hold of people and strike too. but then muay thai has its bad points too like the stance. but the only way you can really decide is by giving them both ago

ha we used to have our own one when we were 15-16 it got so dangerous i used to have all the hardcore fights and i used to keep getting busted open so my mum got stressed and made me stop ha my only ever loss was when i lost my title and i was the only wrestler to win both belts. my special was wrapping chicken wife that had been cut like barbed wire around me and jump off a ladder and frog splash my opponent. we also used to do our own ufc but with no stryking to the face because we had bare hands. and we would also do 3 on ones and 6 on ones try to keep the person down for ten seconds doing anything except blows to the face and groine and no minipulation moves. and we got it all on video ahhhh to be 16 again

ive had 2 tourneys in my first one(nov 04) i broke my big toe on my right foot on the joint i think it was from wearing kickboots for the first time then i wore them once in class and i was fine then in my second one i hurt my big toe again real bad but not broken. sometimes it causes me some pain and its alot more stiff. i was watching UFC a few weeks ago and this one fighter had this black thing on his foot it held his big toe and the one next to it together and then went around to the back of thge heel/ankle does anyone know what this is and where i can get one? Thanks
