  4. people grunting and breathing out loudly:-p
  5. a few things you need to remember 1. if you rememeber back in school when you had a new teacher or a substitute teacher im sure you and your friends used to mess around. children love to push boundries they love to see how much they can get away with. they won't have much respect for you so you have to earn it 2. your earn their respect by being strict, fair and fun you have to let them know that they can't push you about punish them if they are misbehaving light punishment at first such as a warning then get stronger if they keep on. i usually tell them at the start of an activity that they 2 chances if they play up they get a warning if they play up a second time they are getting punished.be fair all children should NOT!!!!! be treated the same they should be treated as individuals as they are not all the same. be fun enjoy what your your doing have a smile on your face have excitment in your voice. this will make the children enjoy it to. make a prat out of your self now an then. i know that sounds weird but you want the children to feel relaxed with you so if they do somthing wrong that they don't feel as bad. i believe that yes children should have respect for you as there teacher but you can also be their friend too this will make the lessons much more enjoyable for them as im sure they would rather have a teacher they like then one they dont. i disagree i am hard on my children i work in a nursery i have the youngest group 2 1/2 yr olds and i admit i can be very hard on them. children need disiplin if you cave into what they want you dont get any respect. you can ask almost all 40 of our children and they will tell you i am their fave teacher and im one of the hardest on them i know nursery school is different to ma but you still need to be hard. the trick is to be hard when you have to be and really nice all the rest of the time. then you will hardly every have to be hard on them as they relaise that they would much rather be good and have a nice you then be bad and have a cross you. 3. PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE!!!!! this can't be stressed enough if you want to boost their confidence this is the way to to it, it also makes children feel vaild, almost everyone love to be praised for a job well done. this will also make them want to train harder. 4. never embarrass/ humiliate a child. childrens confidences are so fragile humiliating a child is a form of abuse (emotionial abuse) if you want to get rid of your students then go for it but if not don't do it. i could go on and on but these are the important ones to remember. like someone else already said your sensei should have a talk with them before you start teaching if he/she has introduced you and said i want you to give him/her the respct you give me they will will start with respect for you. if you have any children who are really driving you nuts make them your assistant in my experiance if you give a child who has behaviour problems a job like this they will want it and they will enjoy it and they will try their best so encourage them and praise. just remember to have fun and if the balance of stress becomes more then the joy then you know its time to quit. Peace Ben Martin- Worlds Best Teacher Worlds Worst Speller!!!
  6. thats exactly whats happening with me at the moment. im broke until the end of the month and im in debt too but my sensei said to me last sunday that if i every have any troubles affording the lessons not to worry about it. but i do not want to come to his lessons knowing that i can't afford to pay for them. i would offer to do some odd jobs but we train in a rented hall and in a rented boxing gym. ive got a few injuries at the moment so i have used them as the excuse not to come to lesson the last few weeks (even thought i could take part but id have to do different drills to everyone else). so im just training at my college gym which is free before 5pm. i can't tell my sensei that i can't afford it because he will tell me im being stupid and the nice guy that he is he will just convice me to come even though i dont want to as id feel like a charity case
  7. You should always see a doctor before doing exercise to ensure it is safe. However some people who perform squats do it wrong and end up with knee problems. Some go as far as to say that squats cause knee problems. This is wrong. Its not squats, its poorly performed technique. If done with proper technique squats, are very safe. yeah your right but when ever i do squats or those leg weights where lie almost upside down and you have to push the weight up by straightening your legs my knees click. when i do squats with the weights on my shoulders i do the horse riding stance and do them like that and its less pressure on my knees.
  8. cool thanks, i don't really like doing squats as there is a history of knee problems in my family and i dont like to put pressure on them

  15. yeah i know exactly what your talking about, it hurts sooooooo much even when its getting taped it kills after having loads of kicks to there lol ui dono how long it takes to get used to it becuase it still hurts me. ill never forget my second thai boxing lesson for about half hour straight we were just kicking each. round to the leg round to the body round to the head and take it in turns man i was hurting soooooo much when i was walking home.

  17. yeah i rested them today didnt hit the rowing machine and only did 5 rounds on the bag and my hands feel fine:)
  18. Latley at the gym i have been boxing the bag for 10 or more 2min rounds, ive been doing that every day or 2 and an average of 3200 meters in 15 mins on the rowing machine. after doing that plus weights my hands the next day are so sore and stiff. my ring finger on my right hand always kills after the rowing and i cant move it for about 10 secs after. i wear my wraps on the rowing machine to make a wider grip. does anyone know of anything that i can do to make my hands be less stiff and sore the next day or is there nothing i can do and it will just pass over time? Thanks
  19. in the 2 yers ive been training i haven't got in to a single fight. i could have easily many times. people walking down the street looking for a fight and barge me or some on screw facing me and turning their head when they walk past. but knowing that i could beat the hell out of them is enough for me, the battle has already been won so why fight?
