  1. and getting hit with a knee makes you shook of the art? you should go to a few MT classes and they will teach u how 2 defend against a knee, you will also see that MT is very tough to train in but its not somthing to fear.
  2. btw there is a good topic in the kickbozing section with all this info
  3. or if you cant get access to a heavy bag u can put some sand in a bag then stil that inside a sock have enough sand so it fits the foot part of the sand then tie a knot in the ankle part and wrap the ankle bit ove the sock againwrap around 3 mor socks doing the same then 1 more sock but dont wrap the ankle bit over use tis as the handle and you have made yourself a mini sandbag.
  4. my mate is waitin for an interview date maybe when he learns some stuff we can spar he's a bit of a wuss so hopefully it will toughen him up.
  5. some of you guys might remember me posting a threat at the end of july saying that i had hurt my back. long story short its still hurtin now so i went to this Qu de tand place and paid £28 for an Overal Treatment which included Acupuncture, Acupressure, Massage and Joint Manipulation, and Cupping which lasted an hour and a half. for the first houri was in deep meditation and it felt great. he told me that in about 3 more sessions my back should be back to normal and he is also sorting out other old injuries so i can be on top for when i go to thailand. it felt so good and i cant wait to go back next week. if anyone else lives in london they should go check him out check his website at qidetang.com
  6. it doesnt bother me about how long it takes to train in any art..... but if that is good enough for chuck its good enough for me. thanks:)
  7. well on channel 5 in lonodn they used to have nightr of combat and the full thai fules stated no spinning backfist but spinning elbows are allowed.
  8. Martial arts have changed my life for the better i believe if i didnt start kickboxing i would not have finished college i would be hanging out with the wrong crowd and getting high every night, and still MA is the only reason why im not like that any more. it keeps me focused and i feel blessed that i have found something that i love soooo much.
  9. i come wearing the uniform i have my gloves shins kickboots a towel and a big bottle of water and a mouth guyard with me oh and my wraps which i usually put on during the train journy.
  10. no i want to be able to stop people taking me down and i also would like to know a few submissions but i still dont like having a sweaty dudes chest in my face! hmmm maybe wrestling would be more up my street.....
  11. They have started teaching BJJ is my gym so when my back is better im thinking of trying it out. ive practiced it before in the gym with this guy who wanted to improve his stamina so he was sraping with quite a few people. i didnt really have a clue what to do i was jusy trying to survive. i didnt really like it much the fact that i couldnt stike was off putting as i think id be more of a ground and poud guy when it comes to the ground. i also didnt like having this guys sweaty chest all in my face. but even so BJJ has a really good rep. so what sort of things do you do e.g warm up, techniques and sparing. i also read in another post before that if you have taken a stand up art then do a ground art it can be quite boring has anyone done that? Thanks
  12. the other week i got the k1 game for the ps1 off ebay and it is really bad. its way to slow i was trying to do combos like jab reverse low kickl and i was pressing the buttons to fast for him to do it. what a waste of £3

  14. i think the only way to decide who is the best of the best is to have no rounds just fight until someone gets knocked out or taps out and that there are no rules and its bare knuckle. now imagen seeing that on the olympics
  15. u could eat a sandwich a few hours before or try a sum fruit 30-1hr before hand with water.
  16. yo can also try using wrist weights but dont use more then 5kg (dont know why but i read then in a similar topic )
  17. your best bet is to go to the docs or the hospital. when ever i get an injury i always get it checked out even if ive dones the tests my self and im 100% sure what the problem is. i always think its best to get a professional to look at it and he /she can give u the advice you need.
  18. can you do a spinning back fist in MT i always thought you wasn't allowed?
  19. to be honest it sounds quite easy but then thats just for me i havent been training in about 5 months and i think ill be doing something harder when i go back and im well unfit now... wel compaired to what i was like before. also the more you sweat in training the less you bleed in battle. i love to push my self or have someone push me to the limit until i reach MMF and just cant get up from the floor. i find ultimate stress then a good rest works best for me with all training.
