Why arn't they doing a second season? i loved the last one as far as this new film i dont think he sly should get in the ring he is 2 old and fat to fight. he should have trained up his son to fight in the ring. maybe rock will get killed in the ring and thats how they finish the story. AS far as faves go id have to say rocky 3 is mine.

Know any good two persons exercises for the dojo?
Ben Martin replied to Leopard claw's topic in Health and Fitness
we often lock legs and do situps touching each others shoulders or sometimes we will go off in pairs, someone will get on their back and the partner will stand of his/her toes and put their hands on the persons bent knees. then the person on their back does 20 situps touchinging their own thighes then 20 touching their knees the 20 doubble twists then 20 touching the persons calfs then 20 touching the persons shoulders then 20 touching the persons head while the first person is doing the pressups the other is counting and motivating them to do it as fast as possible. My fave two man exercise is with the medicine ball. and that is to lie on my back with someone standing over me and throwing the ball into me stomach 30 times and then putting it behind my head then bringing it back to my chest sitting up and passing it to them as fast as i can. i also have them throw it at the rest or my torso too. and i take about 30 sec break inbetween sets. oh and if it doesnt hurt your not doing it hard enough lol Edit- Spelling and i changed 20 mins inbetween sets to 30 secs -
I agree with this I think for any martial art it is good to practice both left and right stances equally, it makes you better able to adapt whether in competion or on the street, especially on the street because of the unpredictability of the encounters. For me it was a must, because I am narturally a south paw, left hand back, but most of the others in my class are orthodox, right hand back, so when I work with a partner we stand orthodox for half and southpaw for half so it is fair to us both, it has really helped me develop my right side strength coordination, balance and a load of other things, and I am now equally good with both sides. when im fighting orthodox i like to fight against a southpaw i find it easire to step in and hit which is weird because it seems like most right hand fighters dont like to fight lefties.

Mornking Workouts Before Work -- Need Advice
Ben Martin replied to KT Samurai's topic in Health and Fitness
you could try doing an early morning run. or you could so short sprints or sprint to the end of the hall in a gym and do 10 pressups then rsprint back then do it again but do crunches then star jumps then burpees. you can also to ultimate burpees which are great too. (search in the kickboxing section 4 them) -
ha yeah i know that protine stink last time was i was training for a tourney i was often smelling from eating to much meat man it stinks ha. i cant not hit the dance floor when i have a drink thats all i want to do..... i supose the chicks will have to deal with it. ha.

This isn't really a martial arts question but i thought this would be the best place to get info on it. when i go out i love to dance and ill dance all night and the ladies love it but one thing they dont like is how much i sweat and i have to agree its kinda rank lol. im abit over weight but even when i wasnt i would still sweat loads. is there anything i can do appart from take breakes and slow my dancing down.

im so suprised hat my back is now feeling better the day after i tried then it has in ages i thought id prob have to go and see the doc again fo 1 more session but my back feels great. im SOOOO HAPPY ha -
in july i had to stop training to finish off my college course then i went on holiday. as some of might remember i wrote a threadt in the early days of aug saying i hurt my back well to this day it is still givving me problems but ive been seeing this chinese doctor and gettin special treatment once a week. that has helped so much so this wee i decided as my back hasnt hurt that much this week i will go back 2 kickboxing ahhhhhhh i have missed it sooooooo much i love it there i miss it even more when i got there if that makes any sense. i had to take 10 mins out of the hour and half as my back was hurting but i had a good work out as i cycled ther and back which as about an hours cycling there and back. i cant wait to go back again next week i feel so refreshed and good right now and i need to get back in to shap for april when i go off 2 thailand for 3/4 months

Ben Martin replied to Dragn's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
i remember ages ago doing like pressups but with our forheads on the wall and our hands behind our back and just moving a little bit withen we did the same with the back of our heads i think we only did something like 10 reps of each and i remember the next day having a sore neck but that might have been from all the other training i did that day as at that point in my life i had never worked out as hard as i had that day. -
practice and stretching
-
the more you stretch in training the less you are likely to pull a muscle in a real fight as you become more flexable. before i started kboxing i couldnt only ckick to my chest with out stretching and now i can kick head hight with no problem if my muscles are still cold. in my class we never stretch our arms just legs and hips and spleen and sometimes our lower back which i do not like

Yeah thats exacttly what i thought when i saw the advert... seems like companies will do anything to shift thier product these days.

lots of fruit, you could try having all fruit breakfast then graze on it until lunch. cut out complex carbs if you want to lose weight fast. or cut out carbs all together for faster (but not healthy) results. lots of water and no processed foods or sugar.
