Personally, I'm not firmiliar with the Gripmaster. As far goes at the pull-ups, how old are you?

I second that. Royce Gracie, or Ali (and you can't say that he's still not alive). Granted... Ali cannot compete at all anymore, but he was awesome!

Cannot leave dojo?
orion82698 replied to orion82698's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
1. Yes, no one twisted my arms. It was my fault for not reseaching this. I didn't know I was getting into something that if down the road if I didn't like, or couldn't do anymore... I wouldn't have a way out. -Personally, this is a joke. Why keep someone somewhere when they're not happy. MA is about teaching. If a student no longer wants to learn, or cannot learn... why do you want to keep them? 2. I have read the contract over and over again. It only states Moving, and Medical reasons for leaving. I have shown this contract to a family member who is a lawyer. She told me it's binding, and is going to be hard to break. - I have found a loop hole in this, and a way out. I'm choosing not to discuss it until this is over. 3. I did like this school when I first started. I felt they had a lot to offer. However, it was after signing up I realized some of the practices in this place, and how things were done that left me with a very sour taste in my mouth. - This has been a true learning experiance, and one that I cannot wait for to be over. I wasn't smart when looking into this, and didn't use my best judgement. Since this has happened, I have been to 4 other MA schools in my area, and have discusses with every instructor in details what I expect, and what their expectations are. You have to fall to learn, I feel that this has truely helped me not only in my MA training, but in life itself. I know I will get outta this, It's just going to be a little longer. Thank you all for support and advice. I will discuss this in full with detail once this is over. -O -
Insight on Double Promotion

I agree. The place I'm at now told me that I could even skip a belt, if I showed that I was good. Sour taste man...... Just a plain sour taste! -
Cool. Thank you!

Forgive the begginer question, and I'm sure I can find it on the web, but I just love chatting on hear. What's the difference between TSD, and TKD?

I did some reading on Royce Gracie's book. Look's like just the basics of body building, which can be found for free here https://www.bodybuilding.com. I live at the website, along with this one. That website has helped me greatly. Check it out, if you haven't already!

What ever happened to Van Damme doin' K-1?
orion82698 replied to lapulid2's topic in Pro Fighting Matches and Leagues
Kumite still says it's in production according to this http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000241/ , but that doesn't mean anything. I don't follow K-1 too closely either, but that would certian help or hurt him if he was to compete. Help his rep if he won, and looked good, and kill hurt if he lost... probably his rep, and acting career. -
I could never hit a woman!.... unless she has a beard, a mullet, and wears a flannel shirt with ripped of sleaves...... basically, needs to walk, talk, and act like a man. If I'm getting the crap kicks outta me, I'm going to defend myself.

Testing for Black on the 10th

LOL... yeah, that's what I thought. The place I'm looking at does that style of training, there just isn't a beach around. I run at parks, tracks and my tread mill. Nothing is as tough as a beach run. Especially if you do it where you chase the waves, then they chase you. Keeps your mind off the run, but wow do your legs hurt afterwards. A friend and I went for a two mile jog/run on the beach this past summer. I had been training for a while, so I thought I was ready. Man.... we went out at the busy part of the day. We were dodging kids left and right. Probably the best workout. I was so tired afterwards! -

Damn... that sucks man. Sorry to hear about that. My heart goes out to you and your family. Sorry about the mag too -
Your ABS are just like every other muscle, they need time to rest, or they will never grow. Too much training is not good. There is nothing special about them, except for the fact that you need low body fat to see them. Genetics helps too. I work my ABS every other day. I do crunches, ball crunches, weighted crunches (pull downs) and leg lifts. Siccor kicks are good too

Cool. Let's try this again. Any info or links/videos on flashy escrima moves?
