  1. When you say "integrated" do you mean, tought by the same instructor, or by different instructors? 1. Being that it's at the same school, I would find that a little easier, being that you could train in both in one session. 2. They might even give you a discount on the other MA, since you're a member already.
  2. What are some of the kicks only found in TKD? I know that there is a front kick, side kick and a round kick in probably almost every style, but what about some of the spin and aerial kicks? Like... Tornado 360 540 butterfly What are some more that I'm forgetting? And what other styles of MA are these in.... Karate, Kung Fu?
  3. Anyone have a website of Kata's? Any style is fine, but I would prefer Shorei-Ryu. Thanks!
  4. Nice! I was wondering what style you studied!
  5. Nice! I was wondering what style you studied!
  6. 42? Old? You're only old when you're dead!
  7. Sorry, I type to fast. "I know it's not the answer you're looking for" My bad
  8. I would ask your Doctor that question first bud. Plain and simple. I know it's the answer you're looking for, but I think it's the best!
  9. I would anytime is a good time to start, as long as you have your feet firmly planted in your other style. You also need to make sure you have enough time to devote weekly to both arts, not only for class, but for practice as well. Taking up two arts can consume your weekly lifestyle. Personally, two arts are not for me right, since I take weight training very seriously too. What other style are you thinking of taking up?
  10. Gotcha! Thanks man! I'll keep you up to date on what happens
  11. Well, my Uncle is going to give me his 70lbs Everlast. It's a nice bag. I'm looking on line now for the plates to hang it in my wash room runners
  12. Tie Bow! HAHAHAHAHAHHHHAHAHAH
  13. Now someone tell me why this doesn't come on the bag as a piece of standard kit? or why isn't the anti-skid mat integrated directly on to the base? Obviously a common complaint - probably since first introduced - with the product and the manufacturers come out with this band-aid. Honestly, I'm taking it back. Why should I have to spend another $40 bucks, + shipping, because their reseach and development failed? It's a crappy product, that is suited only for a young child. It's a heavy hanging bag for me.
  14. I would use my wife, but I love her too much
  15. Have you seen napoleon dynamite? "Rex Kwon Do" It's like that, but it's a little bit harder to pick out. Just be careful.
  16. Like "McDonalds" is a joke of a resturant, found to be of fat, cholesterol, and stuff that you don't need....
  17. Well, I'm no instructor, but I would say if you know the forms, and your kicks and stances are in place with balance, I don't see why they wouldn't promote you. You sound like you have a firm grasp on TKD, and your training. It does suck how they screwed you. It's very scary in the world of MA. Knowing which place is truely a good MA school. My Uncle has tought me something about MA. He tells me to try and trace the liniage of the instructor, back to the founder of that art. So many people can put a belt around their waist and say "I'm a master of this, or a founder of that" I really wish it was harder for places to do this. You put so much trust and time into something like this, only to find that you have been cheated. I feel your pain. I got into a school where I thought it was all legit, only to find that after being there for a short period of time, it wasn't what I expected, nor worth the money I'm paying. Let me know how this goes, and good luck with testing for 3rd Dan in 6 months!
  18. Without spacers? OMG....
  19. Watch Karate Kid. You'll see It's a dojo where they charge outragous fee's, advance in belts too easily, don't train you correctly, 8-10 year olds walk around as blackbelts teaching the class, where they promote earning black belt (gaurenteed in 2-3 years). Thanks a McDojo!
  20. What style does he study? I know he's from Taiwan, but I cannot find anything on this martial arts training. Incase you don't know who this is, it's Seraph from The Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions (who protected the Oracle) Thanks
  21. Google! I love Google. Google is my friend, Google is good, Google is great! Google, Google, Google Oh yeah, Gracie JJ is awesome. Just proves you don't need tremendous strength and be big to be a great fighter!
  22. Not to jack the thread, but........ "My nightly prayer..."Please, just let me win that PowerBall Jackpot just once. I'll prove to you that it won't change me!""
  23. WOW.... that's a bad situation. Unfortuneatly, it's too late to take legal action (I think). I'm sure someone on here would be able to help you. My question to you is, do you think the training you went through was good enough of a black belt? Do you remember, and could you perform your forms for a grand master to test into 2nd dan again? (Not that I'm doubting you, or your training) Just that if this guy wasn't even affiliated w/ITF, and probably wasn't even a black belt himself, do you really trust the form and knowledge of his teachings? Good luck with this, and keep us up to date!
  24. Haven't tried that. I honestly haven't had much time to practice this.
  25. I agree with the above. I have been taught (mainly by these guys) that flash is no good on the street. If you wanna workout to it, go for it. Show off for your friends, go for it. Use it in a life threatening situation...... NO!
