  1. That's a good workout, for someone over the age of 18. If you don't believe us, consult your physician. My advice, lift, but lift light. Give it time. You have the rest of your life to pound heavy weights!
  2. Break all the mirrors in your house. Problem = Mirror Solution = Hammer Your welcome
  3. I would honestly say that none of these inspired me to be anything more than a movie martial artist. When I first got into MA, I thought that what you saw on TV, was effective. I have learned a lot since then Ong-Bak Kiss of the Dragon (Anything Jet Li I love!!!!!! ) Bloodsport (Don't hate, you know you liked it at one point in time )
  4. Well... where does it go I can vouch for this. When I first got into weight training, I would eat 20 minutes before working out. Ever heard of the term "Burp, and taste it"... yeah... yeah.............
  5. Thanks for answering by the way. I'm all alone here no one likes me no one wants to answer me . Next time, I'll just create a worthless poll on it
  6. Dude... that sucks. I hope it works out for ya. Drive around and check some of those places out first before checking them off your list.
  7. Or that Ryan Secrest
  8. Nothing in IMDB. That's always my first place I'm pretty sure it's TKD
  9. I agree. Growing up in a domestic violence home (as I call it) I too would have broken his jaw, then dealt with the talking aspect after he recovered. There is a line that I draw when it comes to violence. That line is crossed when you raise your hand to hit a women. Even more so, a family member of mine. The only thing I think you did wrong, was allow him back into the house.
  10. https://www.tkdtutor.com Look at the karate-do styles tab to the left. All styles are explained in there
  11. There are tons of workouts that you can do without weights. Do a google search on Isometric workouts. Also, look into buying one of those bands that stretch. You'll find they can provide some serious resistance. Remember you're 15, and still growing. Lift smart, with good technique and in time you'll see a difference.
  12. You can lift weights, just don't do anything too heavy and crazy... remember, you're still growing. Stay away from Creatine and stuff like that for a few years. Besides, Creatine is just a way of making water find it's way to the muscle. If you drink plenty of water, it will happen naturally!
  13. Nice. That's good to know. Why can't there be something like this for Karate...? I guess there is just too many systems, and too many dojo's. Thanks dude!
  14. Nice! I wish I could fine a place around here cheap for my back. It's killing me since my accident
  15. Yup! Rex Kwon Do!
  16. That's awesome. I truely believe I will find a school like that. It's improtant to me that I know my instructor isn't "rex kwon do". You're right. If the instructors before pasted down wrong matrial, then it's worthless. I usually call around 2-3 schools a day, and ask what style, how much, and who they trained under. I can usually tell by the sound of their voice, or if they avoid the price converstation. One converstation: Q: What style Karate do you teach? A: Kempo, which is one of the best Q: Who did you train under? A: (Some name I have never heard of, but not surprising) Q: How much do you charge, and is there a contract? A: So tell me a little about yourself, why do you want to take up Karate? He beat around the bush for a while, until I finally asked him the same question again. He told me to stop by and we could dicuss it further. I told that I wasn't going to come by until he told me if there was a contract or not, and if the price was reasonable. He then said, that they don't discuss price over the phone, they want people to get the experiance first. I laughed, said thank you for your time, and hung up.
  17. Read this link. Tons of good information! http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/drobson117.htm
  18. Very important excercise, but not for chest. I do pull ups for my back/lats and chin ups for my biceps.
  19. I think it's a rip off! The different colored belts don't cost more. I would ask your instructor why the price climbs as the rank goes up. What are you paying for classes?
