  1. i was about to make a point about using your arm.... then read shorinryu senseis post..... like he says you cnat out run it out maneouver it..... so you really have to face it and take the least damage necessary.
  2. i think most arts when practicedw ell are useful to some degre... its just a matter of degree and how you train [as i always say]. We seem to agree alot
  3. i know lol.... i think a lot of people get hung up on wanting teh best [and for good reason] from their training. But as everynoe says - its more down to how you train and the students application to the training.... train hard and regularly, apply yourself well and just keep going.... the art does make a difference but your methods and training style make teh most differnce.

  5. or just are impatient... its amazing how many complaints i hear about "i cant do that" when they havent tried.... or how many people groan when we do a fitness oriented session..... or just stand about when your not looking..... grrrr..... lol

  7. yeah.... its always funny to see people start out on that exercise and try to get people to move their hands randomly at full speed.... usually just end up colliding iwth their arm
  8. well good luck to her.... one thing - breaking at 9 years old may not be that well advised - its can cause some quite serious damage to the bones and their development....
  9. exactly -learning set combos tends to restrict your thinking when you have all that adrenaline... you just end up getting into a pattern.... not good
  10. 3 on 1 - 2 of them trained..... ifthey were armed, id proably try to run rather than die..... Either way - if i had to fight, id try and secure myself before helping the other guy...

  17. i asked my class to do 4 sets of 100 punches.... it woud seem like a similar reaction.... its not like i asked for pressups or anything....

  21. as miost people are saying TKD has a lot of aerial work in most styles
  22. keeping leg up jumping turning kick land on kicking leg, spinning back kick kihop! land in l stance
  23. yeah po eun, is definitely an odd pattern of the three the type of stepping accuracy you need is different as wel... and you get your first longer combo of moves.
  24. i think all training methods have their place.... but some are just more effecitve than others....
  25. mines a twist kick..... lol
