  2. well since in MA trainign you may [depending on art /style] use muscles and joints more often than not, you may get used to awkward landings and used to enduring pain...... its probably just that.
  3. I dont think it was that vague - i thin we just got distracted
  4. good luck and you have my best wishes.
  5. you're right.... it was all that counts... tehy all hate me now lol well they will in teh morning when they cnat feel their arms
  6. lol he died from over exertion - he couldnt sleep becuse of all teh training
  7. tufrthanu point is a very good one to heed... a lot of them refer to ancient "foot fighting" and millenia old Taek Kyong..... It does exist... it just didnt backthen.....
  8. oh "hadouken" if he's an old skool masta!!!!! lol
  9. if it was simple wouldnt we all do it?
  10. guess it depends on teh sensei and the reasons....
  11. its just a matter of benefit versus training time.....
  12. but the experience of full contact is a necessary part of training....
  13. yes... however they have less mass.... so less momentum [since the speed difference will be nothing compared to the mass difference]..... so although physically its more difficult tehy experience less resistance to it.
  14. Ive studied a selection of said books, namely number 2 extensively and number 4...... however - im going to cut this short on my part as i know realise that there is little to no point in continuing what is going to be a fruitless arguement / debate - but thanks for the viewpoint.
  15. No need for apologies.... just one has to remember the massive chaotics of self defense and other situatinos.... and there are no certainties...
  16. exactly - glad we're agreed on that Aodhan - alot of people judge TKD without really experiencing and understanding the HUGE divide internally between sport and trad TKD
  17. alrigfht thatll confuse them enough
  18. unless you train hard in both...... very hard - its about how much time you have to spend....
  19. i know scary isnt it!
  20. ill have to try that - whats your name so my students can hate you for it.... Definitely give it a go tonight.
  21. yeah 40% isnt a statistic id trust my life on../..
  22. I was going to dignify that with a long reply.... but since im running short on time and am going to train will hope to post a better one later. (1) how do you know my prophecies are self fulfilling? (2) does not sound quite as enlightened as the rest of your critique. But immediately makes you as closed to your apparent options as I do and therefore makes you fail to meet your last point of resulting to "no mind"..... youve made adecision to stand and fight therefore eliminating other possibilities during teh fight, closing your mind....(3) Concenring controlling large numbers of people..... this massively depends on teh situation [as you would have to admit being by your own admission an "outstnading" strategist"]. So if we are to go back to your point regarding 10 attackers: how can one person positino himself in a position to allow him to "strategically" control 10 assailants?! Again - no personal attack however you did say i had a closed mind, and i would consider myself more open than most to new ideas or ways of thinking that i have not yet been introduced to.... im simply here to learn and as you are a self-proclaimed teacher would like to take this opportunity to learn as much as possible.
