awht im gonna do before BJJ is the whole upper body with wieghts (biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest, traps, and back) on mon, wed, and fri. tues and thurs i will run for 30 minutes without stopping since thats different than the BJJ cardio. abs i will do everday, basics like crunches and stuff. sat and sun are supposed to be my day off, but i work as a busboy on those days. you guys think this is a good workout out routine. this personal trainer suggested i do three upper body parts on mon, three different upper body parts on wed, then legs on fri. and tues and thurs sta y the same, but i dont know if one day of the week is enough for a part of teh body (she did say different exercises for the body) i only have acces to the gym mon wed and fri which is why i workout those days. waht you guys think about this?

Making some pass out
Maddwraph replied to KarateKicked's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
you pass out, dont worry about it, unless the you were being held for sometime. at a tournament, they'll break it up if you pass out. even in class once ina while its ok. dont make it a habit. i wouldnt worry though. -

wow, thanks a lot, i dont really want them, for the look tot ell you the truth. ill keep a close eye on them when things do happen, and ill probably get the head gear even though i hate them. -
how come grapplers get this when they do it for a while? how long does it take them to get it? and is it easy to fix, does the procedure to get them hurt and is expensive? i dont really want these things so if anyone knows about it, please share.

Tom-Yum-Goong

i just watched it. it was amazing, started off slow but simply blew me away. the only complaint i had was it the movie seemed a little dark and the beggining wa kind of boring. thats about it. -
im biased towards BJJ, but it depends. if you get taken to the ground i dont think anything can match up to BJJ. if its standing up and theres knife involved, i would pick JJJ. if the person has a nice sweater you can grab, a judo throw to crack thier head open would be nice. i odnt know enough about akido. i like BJJ because of the way we pracitce, i feel it helps us prepare.

if i can make something like that, id wear that badboy everywhere, including to school.

building muscle sounds good, i do need to get stronger. ill swtich my biceps from mon, wed, and fri to tues thurs, and sat, and swtich teh triceps. what do you eat becasue your doing really well?

hey, i just started this last week and want to get my chest mucles looking nice and strong. im 5"11, 154 pounds. how much should i be benching? also, how much of a certain weight do you do to say you bench that much. like how many repetitions of it and stuff. i did 115 last week and did 8 reps, without much problem, but i did 125 yesterday and did 2, then went back to 115 and did like 4. and can i work out my triceps on a different day? like mon, wed, fri bench, then tues, thurs, and sat triceps with dumblells? should i do push ups on the days im not doing bench press. thanks a lot, im new to chest exercises.

push ups are annoying, but im starting to do them each night, 50 a night. its hard.

if its hurting, dont ignore it, thats how it will get worse. do some knee stretches, or stretches that streth parts near the knee, like the thighs. and ice it for like 20 minutes in the night. that may relieve some tension. if your knees are hurting on a regular basis, check a doctor, it could save you money and trouble in the long run.

I fought today in NAGA in 4 different divisions. Teens gi, and no gi, and men gi and no-gi. I won a 2nd place metal in teens no-gi which really made me happy, even thouhg i dont practice no-gi. I had a lot of fun, and feel like my training paid off. i lost the other ones, but you learn from mistakes. hope you guys do good too. take care.

they all compliment each other nicely, but for some good stand-up for self defense only, id go for JJJ. i take BJJ and its very good for self defense if the fight is on the ground, but if your looking for standup like wrist locks, and the such, then JJJ is good. Judo is good for throws. ill stcik with BJJ, its too much fun.

why thank you, lol. this month will be my 5th month completed. and yesterday i moved up in a rank in white belt. my concernw as getting him to the ground. i learned a lot, like to stay real tight when you mount them. it is also a good expeirence to go against a puncher bercause i initally started this for self defense, and i need to get the feel for it. -
