  1. i started running on the treadmill 3 times a week at the speed of 5.5 to burn some fat. should i also use a sweater when running? or a sauna suit? a freind of mine who was a personal trainer said the suana suit is only good when you want to drop weight before a tournament or something, not an everyday thing to use. he also said dont use a sweater. anyone have an opinion on this?
  2. i personally take protien shakes after a workout. i also take amino acids (BCAA to be more exact) so my muscles recover faster. im 18, and heard those are good, but besides those, my knowledge is limited on the other things that are out there.

  4. im doign them mon through fri, ebcause i also do other chest exercises with weights. maybe that might be good for you? on the note of push ups i was just curious if how fast you do them and if your head looks straight matters?

  6. can anyone suggest an mp3 player that would be good for jogging. i have an i pod, but it recently broke due to jogging because when you run the insides shake. i need one thats not too expenisve and that could hold anywhere from 20-30 songs. if anyone could suggest one that would be awesome. thanks
  7. ok,cool, i might switch to that, becasue usually whenever i do en exercise that works the chest, it also works the triceps and deltoids. i have a couple of questions if whoever doesnt mind telling me : 1. when i do exercises should i do all my chest ecercises, then go to triceps, then shoulders, or should i mix it up a little? thanks 2. should i drink a protien shake before i go to bed? because im also trying to get lean, and runnning will help that.
  8. the competition went pretty good, my knees hurt but thats about it. i faought in 3 divisons, i beat on guy in one of them, but lost. hey, i guess experience or something comes out of it. i cut the weight in time, thanks a lot guys.
  9. throught the week im planning a workout plan, is it better to work certain muscles groups on the same day? is the following workout plan good?: sunday- back, shoulders, traps monday- chest, biceps, triceps tuesday-legs wed-group 1 thurs-group 2 friday- group 3 saturday, nothing, i work. i will do abs everyday except maybe saturday and sunday, i do ab work like 6 sets of as much crunches as i can handle and stuff like that. for cardio, i will try 3 times randomnly throughout the week 30 minutes non-stop. i also do BJJ 3 times a week, so that should aslo help. i will do like 2 or 3 exercises for each muscle group.

  12. its for a tournament, after that i will continue eating more to gain muscle mass, but for now i stopped working out. im gonna defnitely do cardio. thanks a lot.

  14. im trying to cut 5-7 pounds by saturday and i only got tues wed and thurs to do it. any tips? those 3 days im gonna run with the sauna suit and im trying to eat less. im at 165 and im trying to get to 159. any other tips would be nice.

  16. you can do weights with your legs. i recently started this. like squats and leg presses.

  19. hey, i just ordered this book off ebay because i saw it in barnes and nobles, and took a little read from it. it seemed really good, and i like the amount of information it covers. anyone else read this and if you did, give your opinion on it please. im hoping i didnt waste money.
  20. hey guys, its looking like i might possibly be going to a the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, but i dont want to leave my BJJ training, so i was wondering if any of you guys know of any BJJ schools in Bridgeport, or possible around. if worse case scenrio, is there at least like boxing there? thanks.
  21. do the sprawl shorts keep running up your legs when your on the ground? i might also wear these shorts outside of grappling. so im looking for comfortable shorts too, not too tight, but that wont go up my legs. i know its difficult,lol.

  23. hey guys im looking for a type of shorts to do no-gi in, more specificaly in tournaments. i wore regular basketball shorts in the tournament and when i was on the ground they kept moving way too far towards my stomach and theres crowds there and stuff, so you know, i dont want to be flashing the people while they take pictures . so im looking for some specif shorts that are long, a little below or at knee level, and that do not keep going towards my crotch. of crouse i gotta be flexible in them as well. anyone know any good shorts taht will provide those requirements? i hear good things about tapout and sprawl shorts.
  24. im actually going to do all upper body on mon and fri and do legs on wed, and keep the other same things. the abs are hardest to get.
  25. from waht i hear, ab exercise, a lot of cardio, and most important diet should do the trick. getting all taht done is tough.
