  4. hey, i was using muscle milk as a prtoein supplement, but today bought a brand called Syntha-6. the guy at the counter told me it has 5 sources of protien and that i should drink it 30 minutes after i workout. one scoop of the prtioen powder contains 23 grams of protien. he said i should only use one scoop when i use it because it the body only consumes 46 grams at a time. he also said i should drink it 3 times a day with skim milk. is all this info correct? or should i drink it with 2 scoops? he siad 30 minutes after a workout as well. right now im trying to get bigger, so hopefully this is a good brand. here is the shake btw: http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2272411&cp&change_search=products&keywords=syntha&y=0&searchId=5632338777&x=0&parentPage=search http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=IP-1022
  5. the elbow should be facing towards your groin since you are moving up agaisnt it. but if the elbow happens to be facing another way turn the arm that way.
  6. np, squeezig your knees tight will hold his arm in place so not for it to not put pressure on the groin, but also to help guarantee that he cant just pull his arm out. when his arm is held in place, pulling it where the elbow does not bend and rasing your hips is what is going to cause the pressure.
  7. squeeze your knees tight to hold his arm in place, if you dont, the arm will pressue down on your groin.
  8. i use branched chain amino acids (BCAA) i hear those are very good, and give you a lot of energy. check those out.
  9. if you want to gain more weight, eat 6 meals a day, but big ones. small ones are more if you want to lose weight. also, get plenty of carbs before workouts, like pasta, rice, beans, and after the workouts, plenty of protein. on a side not, does anyone know a good protein shake that is high in protein, but not redicously expensive. i use muscle milk, and it has 32 grams of protein, im hoping for something with some more protein, like this myoplex i was checking out and it has 45. also something with a good amount of calories would be nice. if anyone knows a good brand, it would be much appreciated.

  11. yeah im worried about getting bigger or slower but not stronger. i just want to get bigger, then cut down so i have a lot of muscle but not really fat. i also want to get stronger for ma.
  12. im 18, 5"11-6 ft and weight 170 pounds, some muscle, but i have some fat. this month im actually eating a lot and lifting heavy, and then when i get bigger im gonna go on a certain deit and get cut. how much should i weigh at my height? also when your going for size 3 sets 6-8 reps of heavy lifting is required right? thanks
  13. yeah, and also the way you lift i hear gets you cut, like more repetitions and lower weight, i just dont know exactly how much.
  14. having done a year's worth of jiu jistu, i have figured out how to beat someone bigger. simply get better at jiu jistu,lol, and the rest will come.
  15. it might be hard, but i suggest turning into him, that saves me a bunch of times. needless to say that would be much harder in a fight.

  19. I actually visited both schools, im just having a hard time deciding which one to go to. i love the look of albany it looks amazing, and the dorms didnt look bad. the big classes will be a problem though.
  20. i actually want to know more about the school themselves. but in the case of albany, how is it? to your knowledge is there bjj schools or muay thai around it. i was searching online and i found a bjj school there, but i lost the link. im looking for it again. thanks.
  21. no, absolutely not, but right now im going into either one of those schools, and its very close. so i want to get every little thing about each school including area, expenses, intrests. of course the big things that are swaying my opinion is teh academics.

  25. ok, so defntiely no sweater and sauna suit, good. also, is it better to run on an empty stomach, when like in the morning when you have not eaten breakfast, i heard you burn more fat.
