  3. no problem Shotokan. and thanks so much Sohan. even when i dont exercise it seems i have a strong smell now. i guess i got to start drinking more powerades.
  4. when you do more sports and martial arts (like me doing bjj) does your tendency to smell and sweat and body ordor get worse? it might just b my head, but it seems i have teh tendency to sweat more and get more body order since ive been doing bjj.
  5. how do you decrease the body fat percentag without decreasing muscle? and i dont know if i got stronger lol, i defnitely got bigger.
  6. if you can joina gym by you, here generally they are cheap. here are some websites that might help. http://www.davedraper.com/ http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/exercises.htm i personally ordered a book on ebay (much cheaper) called essentials of physical conditioning and training. i hear its what personal trainers read to pass their tests. that might be off your intrest.
  7. i know, but fighting teh bigger guys (well cut up guys in my weight) can be intimidating. my normal weight was 156 around. so im up to 172, thats a bigg difference, im gonna work out, then a week or two before cut down to 169, that should be better.
  8. so i should just get bigger and stronger and not really worry about bodyfat? and then near tournament cut to 169? and just out of curiosity, was that diet i had good? thanks.
  9. anyone have any ideas on this? sohan maybe? p.s. im also having doubts on whtehr or not to cut the weight. i am happy with the muscle i have gained cause i lifting and eating a lot, but i also gained some fat. if i cut to 149, i might see my six pack. im confused as to whether to continue lifting heavy and getting bigger and stronger , which result in me facing bigger guys, or i can cut, and face teh smaller guys. like i said i am 5"11r 6 ft. so 149 seems low for me, im thinking as to whether or not i gain more muscle first.
  10. i dont have sound on my computer can someone inform me on if the video was saying the whole non touchable knockouts was real, and why was it showing jiu jistu guys in the video? btw, pressure points are scary, i just think they are hard to hit, and wouldnt be too much of a good idea on a trained fighter.
  11. hey, during the months of may and june i was eating a lot, and i gained 16 pounds to 172 (muscle and fat) now i have a grappling tournament on august 5th and i want to cut to down to 149. i am 5'11 or 6 ft so i am alost hoping to have the six pack. my question is is there n easy diet i can follow. as for me working out im gona do more cardio but still lift for power. out of the little knowledge i am thinking this (3 hours in between) : breakfast: 5 eggwhites and one whole egg scarambled with turkey bacon and 2 pieces of toast with natural peanut butter. post breakfast: bagel with turkey lunch: salad with maybe like grilled chicken after lunch: protien shake (synthra 6) dinner: maybe some fruit, or maybe salad. after workout: proiten shake. i also take bcaa's and one a day mutlivitamin (is this brand good?)
  12. i am currently bulking, but for july i have to cut because i got a jiu jistu tournament augsut 5th. cutting sucks. i wanted to bulk up to 180 to, but i only made 170.

  14. ok, but with i dont lift by doing a lot of reps. can i still lift for strength and still shed body fat? thanks
  15. another thing, next month im gonna be cutting weight, doing a lot of reps to get more more cut as well. i still however want to keep benching so that i can bench more. is this possible? thanks.
  16. its good to do them both, because they compliment each other nicely. they say gi will help you get technique better, so it is suggested that peopel begin in those first. if you can, id say do them both. otherwise, see which one is more fun for you.
  17. ok no incline for then, but i will continue regluar flat, dumbell, incline and maybe dumbell. btw Sohan, are you famialiar with the West Side Barbel Gym? a freind of mine was telling me about them.

  19. yeah, so for now im sticking to regualr bench press, dumbell bench press, and incline and decline. how many reps and sets should i do to get bigger and stronger?
  20. when i bench press, for size and strenght how many sets and reps should i do to get stronger and better? i bench a measely 115 6-8 reps 3 sets and i weigh 170. also the chest exercise butterflies and flies i was told by a personal trainer and physical therapist that i dont need to do that, because its impratical, and i dont need it for strenght, its just for look. thanks
  21. MizuRyu, i gotta congratulate you for your actions. you tried to get your freinds out of trouble, and as a last result reacted with your martial arts, and you did it good too, not like the average karate kid that gets his but handed to him. congratulations.
  22. wait , so i weigh 170 pounds, i should be consuming like 150 grams of protien, that sounds like a lot.
