HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY :-)
Maddwraph replied to Master Jules's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope all you guys enjoy easter or whatever your celebrating. -
if you just run or do those machine things that you you sweat a lot (i sweat a lot, my front adn back shirt is all wet) you will burn off the fat? (fat off the ab layer i mean?) just curious, because i hear so many things and its all confusing. id personally think it would make sense to do crunches becasue wont they make your abs bigger and stronger? and if they are bigger and stronger, they are more likely to show. of course, i am probably wrong, but hey, never know. i do crunches, but basic crunches, i want to know if im waisting time with them (i want more the look, than the stregnht on them first, then its the strenght ) ill still continue doing them, but ive been doing basic crunches for a while, hard to see results. oh well, thanks. anyways, remember to drink your water if your running a lot.

dam, $40, thats awesome. for my capoiera, its $100 per month, but its more than a martial arts class (cardio, before we had access to the gym, so much.

http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=16354&highlight=ab+lounge man i just noticed the bad spelling errors of mine. anyways, my brother got it, i personally dont thinnk they work, or if they do, i think there are better exercises like extra crunches. you do get 90 days to return it from the store i bought it from, so if you wanna do it, try. but as i learned from this website, the key to make the abs visible is diet and watching what you eat. these ab exercises will only make them stronger. it also depends on the person. on sidenote, i have stopped eating after 7-7:30. i also do 40 minutes on the gazelle and sweat a lot like every other day or (occasionally missing some) capoiera will start today again, anyways, if i keep this up, do you think my abs will show in like two months? my metabolism is pretty fast. any suggestions? thanks sorry,,hehe, maybe the answer to my question will help the topic creater too. best of luck.

ok, makes sense, i guess not eating after 7 wil and my usualy cardio will be a good start. can i drinker water and milk after 7 however?
-
how much time of cardio is required (day, week, time) in order to acheive this 6-pack. my abs are visible if i look in the mirror, so i dont think im too far off. i have the gazelle and do cardio on that. http://www.treadmillscentral.com/gazelle-elliptical.html thats the gazelle. i do 30-35 minutes a day on this machine, and occasionally missing some days. at least 3 times a week its done. i sweat a lot. i also do crunches and can feel my abs getting stronger. dieting im not sure on. im going to try adn stop easting after 7. whoo any suggestions would be the awesomness and very appreciated.

well, to make them visible to be honest. i do cardio too, but do these crunches help?

hip flexibility and the V sitting stretch
Maddwraph replied to KarateKid7's topic in Health and Fitness
i do, the flexibility yeah, and you should feel it in the legs after you do it for a while. to get your kciks stronger though, a hitting bag would be nice. but for height and flexibility, do it over a chair, if you feel thats too easy, maybe get something a little bigger. just becareful. -
hip flexibility and the V sitting stretch
Maddwraph replied to KarateKid7's topic in Health and Fitness
oh,a personal trainer from ym capoiera class told me a good way on practicng kicks like hook kicks. he said grab a chair, and trust pratice kicking over the chair trying to make your kicks more accurate and stretching them more and stuff. that will work out some parts of the legs and develop your kicks. stretching im not sure on, but like i said, yoga books. best of luck. -
hip flexibility and the V sitting stretch
Maddwraph replied to KarateKid7's topic in Health and Fitness
try to do some basic stretches. im not too sure myself, but get one of those stretching books or yoga books they have in bookstores. they have a lot of good differnt types of instructions and pcitures about streches. id say go for that. -
hm... i didnt see anything about keeping the legs in the air as a way to force your abs on the sticky. any suggestions? stick with putting my legs ontop of the ball or just keep them in the air? thanks
-
i posted here a while back that was going to do crunches while putting my legs up on a balance ball and laying on my back.(along with other exercises for arms and cardio). now, when i look at the mirror, and the light reflects i could see my abs a little , but not when i look at my actualy stomach, only a little. anyways, my question is if im supposed to sustain my legs up while doing crunches? will that force more my abs? or is it better to just keep my legs on the balance ball? (my legs did kind of hurt when doing crunches from holding them up, but im sure thats only to get used to). just wanted to know which one would benefit me more. thanks a lot

im not too sure what kali is, but makulele is like actualy capoiera when your in the roda doing it. your facing the other person doing the moves you want to, and at the same time keeping at the rythym of the instruments playing. only in makulele that my class does, we dont try to hit the person as opposed to the actual capoiera.

its a fight dance bascially. it involves many gymanstic like moves that can be very hard to do. and never underestimate it, thats how some capoieristas get thier opponents.
