  1. I have researched the fighters but I want to see Forrest vs. Rampage that will be a barn burner. I'm actually taking the hit and getting this one.
  2. I can agree with everyone that's posted thus far. You do start learning at day one. But I also feel that you look deeper into each techniquie. You look for much more than just a fluid move. I personally get into the what if I turn this way. What if I stepped like this. Hey this move will fit in here. If miss this I've still got that. As Ihave been told you have the movement down. Now go polish it and make it shine. Take the techniquie and make it your own.
  3. Those are great ones. I only have two words. Hemi Cuda
  4. Remember our troops that can't be at home to celebrate with thier families. Happy a happy and safe 4th of July everyone.
  5. I just wondering if any of you guys on here ever play Motostorm online? If so how often? I'm looking for a bettergroup to race with.
  6. Went and watched this one last night and it was pretty good has a great twist toward the end. This movie is not what you would think from watching the trailers. I'll shutup now before I say too much.
  7. Welcome back.
  8. The American icon of the automotive industry are the cars from the 60s and early 70s. This era of cars are known as American Muscle. What's your favorite car from these decades?
  9. Building, restoring, and customizing muscle cars and hot rods. That would be my idea of a job. Watching them as they roll in and see what they become as they roll out.
  10. History most definately. Could picture things as the teachers lectured about it.
  11. I think the last album I downloaded was Indestrustible by Distrubed and the last album I bought at a store was Educated Horses by Rob Zombie
  12. How very true Shorikid. I ran into thisone just after I got my Shodan. I had a few to askif I had to register with the local law enforcement agencies. I took the time to explain that this was an old wives tell if you will. Another took offence and fought tooth and nail saying I needed to be registered as a deadly weapon. Her brother suposedly told her that he had to register. But I blew if off also because she says her brother got a fifth degree from a dojo in Okinawa in the three years her father was stationed there in the 60's. Sometimes I'll play it upjust to see the reaction from people.
  13. Hewas the first stand up comic I ever listened to. I found a cassette of my fathers by mistake and I judged all other comics on him. Truely the best. R.I.P. Mr. Carlin
  14. I know my wife would clear her and my son from danger. Also she knows there's a possiblity of a weapon being on my person. But she knows I can handle myself in most situations and hopefully have thesmarts of when to fight and whento run. At our dojo we have discussed this type of unavoidable fight type situation. We've thought of sprinting a quarter mille and if they still want to fight they have the disadvantage because they're tired when the fight starts. I would have to see the situation unfolding to make a clear desicion. There are many factors that would be involedin my thought process.
  15. Good luck man it's a long jouney to reach the point you are at. Don't let your nerves get the best of you and fall back on your training.Iwent through the same thing before my 1 kyu test even thought about telling my instructor I wasn't gotting to try but just had a mental block that I had to work through. Good luck I'm sure you do fine.
  16. I'm looking foward to seeing how Anderson handles not being the physically bigger fighter for a change. I'm insterestedjust for the fact he's going up a weight class.
  17. As others have said I a wife and a small son. I would for sure get them clear of the situation at what ever damage to myself. I would probably haveher to dial the police to keep my awareness on the attacker. If I was to intervine I would take things to my advanatage. Now I'll tell you I am by no means a large fellow. But if for some slim chance I was to physically get involved I'd jump on his back with a rear naked choke. If I could not get a body triangle then set hooks. But I would use my hooks to strike the groin and bladder with my heels. Yes he is 300 pound but if you got no blood flowing upstair you don't work. But the victim made some very bad mistakes in the situation. First he looked away when he wiped his eye. He then let his attention go completely to look at his hand after wiping his eye and looked down. Now give you by the looks of the vifeo clip the woman came in to the pizza parlor looking for a fight for her buea. I think even if the victim was fully aware he would have still be assualted. The big guy was looking to get the upper hand with his first strike.
  18. Personally I study martial arts because I'm addicted. But seriously it seems I learn something new every time I step into the dojo. The guys I train with are all black belts and we have diffrent but similar views on our techniques. But my self confidence is very high as is my awarness. I took for ways to better myself through the studies.
  19. I don't mean Irvin any disrepect but in my opinion he's not an A level fighter. You have to admit that he's not exactly fought many top tier fighters. I mean there'sonly a handful of guys he's fought in the UFC and with exception of one fighter the rest I put in the B to C+ catagory. But again just my viewon things.
  20. Welcome.Enjoy your stay.
  21. I like Herb Dean's interpitation of the rule. It puts fighters and Refs on the same mind set and they can both easily indeify the area which is illegal. With this easily idenifiable area leavea no excuse for not knowing the correct interpitation of the rules. Also this helps with the fighters that don't speak english so well. But then again what do I know.
  22. I just read that the UFC is throwing together a card for July 19th to counter Afflictions first show on the same day. But the biggest news coming out of that is that Anderson Silva is moving to 205 to fight James Irvin. We have all seen what Anderson can do at 185. How will the extra wieght effect him or will it? Is Irvin really ready for this caliber of fighter? I've often wanted to see Anderson fight at 205 but give him someone that's really going to test him. No disrespect towards Irvin but I see this as a can for Silva. And the second best part of this news is this card is rumored to be on Spike . Which means we get to see a UFC without having to part fifty or sixty bucks.
