what is it about then????
-
well it depends whether you starting on the group, or whether the group is starting on you from the looks of the clip, it seems the guy was the one startin, and he took them on one by one
-
i guess ill be the first to start Situated in Oldbruy, West Midlands, to be precise i practise both Kung Fu and Kickboxing at the Warley Martial Art Centre, and i am a green belt in both arts
-
one of the key rules of sparring to be succesful in it, is to always move, and thus by always bouncing you should be a more efficent and productive fighter, by always being in a position to those snappy kicks and being able to retreat and move to the side and move as quickly as possible
-
if you actually think about it, no matter how many people face you, you should be able to take them on, if you have the energy cuz most of the time they will have one fighting at a time, very rarely would you have more than one fighter fighteing against a lone warrior, dispose of them one by one, alongs as you can take the biggest guy, you have no problem at all

Very true, but i thing with my young generation means nothing, and that it is the black belt which is considered at being mastery and a ultimate fighter, which is so misunderstood, which i probably feel is the main reason why the very useless martial arts (im not gonna name any ) are having so much students enroling just so you can earn your black belt in the odd 16months

if you look at any fight, any fight at all, lets take a boxing match, one person will go all out at another, and the other boxer would crouch down and defend himself, thus making him the defender, but i might change in the next round, the roles change, but the idea is not to be viewed at being the battered, but the batterer , does that make any sense?? -

within a sparring match there is always two differnt fighters the defender and attacker there is no such thing as two attackers the main objective is to never be the defender always go at him, i always follow the same quidelines 1. always move, 2. always hit 3. always counter 4. never use just one technique, 5. and always use the space provided, tire him out, give him a dumy, then send him sleeping -

from the response that you gave me mastertae, its seems as if you are not particulary interested in traditional kung fu, is this primarily because of its lack of the belt system, i know with my youth i would opposed to practicing an art with no belt, (no black belt ) but in the exceptional position i am but in i am learning traditional chinese martial arts, (but in retrospect it seems to be very univeral), and that it actually has a belt system, but i thing is partly introduced, just so profit can be made and that i have a 3rd generation instructor. Any other chinese martial artist who have the same situation?

if you got remove from press-ups, then you got alot of room, no worriez these are list of some excersies which you can perform with the space provided crunces, side crunches, stretching ; hand to feet, hand to back, splits?, if you really are limited, why dont you get memebership to the uni gym?, i know my brother goes, and goes every night, its open 24hours a day, you should be able to find time suitable for you! and dont worry u havent started late in martial arts

Jack when first performing that excersise not many people can actually do the side kick aswell, its best to start of slowly, but heck if you can do the first two, then do a third move - the round kick - then the side kick,
-
Found it, and it does look good, i have admit though that i dont understand the triangle logo? too bad you guys arent based near the west midlands, we dont seem to have any JKD schools
-
true say patrick
-
i agree with saifight try performing only hand movement excercises and upper body, such as crunches, press ups maybe?, stretching with your hands, forms (but of course only using your hands), use of a punch bag, but makes sure it doest retract and smack you straight on the knee.
-
spinninggumby, your method sounds very obstrusive since you mention to focuse on a point when doing for example a kata, but how is this possible when many forms require you to move around where the point will not be in your vision for most of the form's duration??? i feel the best method is to stand one one leg and perform (slowly) front kick followed by a back kick of the same leg, do it several times with both feet
-
i undestand that its tradition then how does a chinese martial artist distinquish himself from another but who is less experienced? i understand there is different types of "ranks" in JKD, is that how the system works for all chinese martial arts? i would like to here the view from other practioner of chinese martial arts
-
why is everybody obsessed with these cyber belts??? they mean nothing, even if one is a belt higher its not that we should treat them with more respect, i feel we should treat those with more respect with those people who actually are black belts and dan in an actual martial art, not in cyber belts jeez

no worriez thaifoot, im still 14
