  1. That last Big Mac I had just put me into the overweight status.
  2. Delta, The classroom is one thing, but do you think you should be worried about it on the street under uncontrolled conditions? Like KSN Doug said, you modify it for fighting.
  3. I think you will find that the wide majority of people who have permits to carry handguns are very responsible people and probably don't even carry them that often. Myself included. Those who are granted permits are aware of the consequences of even brandishing a weapon if not threatened. There will always be idiots who abuse their right to carry, but most law breakers will be those who don't have the permit in the first place.
  4. Very impressive. Your school must also have some good students.
  5. You can give a monkey a hammer to crack a walnut. The hammer is more than capable of destroying the nut, correct? However, if the monkey doesn't know how to operate the hammer, the nut will probably survive another day. Same goes for guns. Only training and practice in offense and defense will give a person the edge.
  6. North Pole, Alaska? One question....why?
  7. Now that's dirty tactic.
  8. You are a very determined individual, but might I suggest you taking Tai Chi for a while?
  9. I'm sure it was.
  10. The thing I've always wondered about in this supposed statistic is how going to the ground is defined. Is it a fight that originates with exchanges of strikes or kicks and then as one person gets hurt enough the other pounces on them to finish it off? Or is it a fight where someone shoots in to grapple/wrestle right from the start? I don't think the facts are clear. And I don't think martial arts systems (based on hundreds of years of observation and experience) would teach upper body strikes and kicks as much if 90% of the fights went to the ground the way some so-called experts claim.
  11. The old saying doesn't mention how to conceal a .30-06 in your pants or coat?
  12. Thank you very little for pointing that out.
  13. I think it was a .22 three times. Yeah, the guy did well by dancing around, but if he was lucky the attacker didn't cut that tree in half with a .45 semi auto.
  14. I know of one in Sault Ste Marie.
  15. I heard my ankle pop coming down off a spin jump this past April. It startled me so much that I couldn't even swear.
  16. Rugby? Nah, I'd rather try to perfect my already dismal golf game.
  17. Who are you, my health insurance agent? Nothing broken, but a lot of sprains. Getting sick of filling out the medical forms.
  18. Stick a pork chop in your back pocket and cut the chain on the neighbor's dog. You won't get bored. Seriously, you can put your headphones on and go for a shorter distance at first. Time yourself. Increase your distances by 1K after a while. Change your routes. Run up hilly areas. Find a partner to run with you.
  19. Shoulder, rib, knee (MRI), ankle. All injured in martial arts. Aflac hates me.
  20. Have seen more of these techs in the past few years than I care to talk about.
  21. In a fight? Use whatever works for you. Assuming a stance can sometimes tip off your opponent.
  22. Yes, and stay a little looser but maintain good form. You don't have to tighten up all your muscles to perform an effective manipulation.
  23. Jeez, that it vertically challenged. I bet you don't change many light bulbs.
