You aren't behind the times. We use both English and Metric because too many things were based upon the English system and the Metric way of measurement satisfies international requirements. Confusing, yes. Easy, no. 1 Kg = 2.2 lbs
I couldn't agree with him more. Anyone who thinks they have to deaden their nerves or build up those nasty calcium deposits by hitting hard objects is going to have big problems in the long term.
There is an ID card that has a member's student number along with their belt ranking on it, initialized by the instructor. Formal certificates are also issued for every belt color.
