DON i do agree with you........it's the other entries in this thread that i refer to......i feel that any type of martial arts training does prepare you for street life. it may just be the confidence you exude or how to avoid the situation and not to become a victim.....as the others here know, i feel violence should be avoided at all cost unless protecting life, limb, justice or that of love ones, not to protect ego. humble respects with a bow

were way off the subject of compitition here......maybe we need another thread called "fond names for females" of course we would have to have a thread named.."favorite names for men"..( we'll maybe not that one..LOL.) -
your comparing apples and oranges when you compare sport to streetlife.

Streetfighting?
iamrushman replied to Sissy's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
if you want a clear, simple, solution to your question with only one answer. i suggest situation avoidence....simply avoid the problem of confrontation...it's the smartest thing to do. when you don't have strength, size,or training on your side. the last resort is violence and only to protect life or loved ones. -
thank you (blush)...especially coming from such a nice looking lady.

i guess thats how others see me...matches my personality(lol)..just a boxed X.....thanks for trying patrick.

hello sissy.....i see that you edit your post to give more info.......i would suggest you make your entries separate so your questions and responses will come up in today's active post, so others can see and respond to your questions. i will make this entry to bring this question to the forefront of todays active post. you have a very good question and i would like to see what the others recommend. thaiboxerken/tim/angus/et.al. heres one for you guys. -
very interesting subect.........i have a small amount in training in such things. i find using pocket change for a distraction works quickly and is easily to retrieve in a stressful street situation. because hands in pockets is a non threating position. _________________ rushman (taekwondo moderator) 3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon florida This Message was edited by: iamrushman on Jul 12, 2001 9:11am

competition is a good way to learn how to perform and act in front of others and crowds. it's not about winning or losing but sportsmanship. oh yeah...chicks.(lol) _________________ rushman (taekwondo moderator) 3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon florida This Message was edited by: iamrushman on Jul 11, 2001 5:57pm -
