TJS replied to Black Dragon's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
Sprawl=shoot your legs back and put your weight down on your incomming shooter. from there I would try and force their head down and unbalance them. fromt there you can follow up with any variety of techniques. -

Fairtex's Alex Gong killed.
TJS replied to jushin's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
Obviously if he knew he had a Gun he proabably wouldent have chased him...I think most people would try and follow someone who hit their car...I would expect to be shot for it. -
Tae Kwon Do vs. Muay Thai
TJS replied to Black Dragon's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
Honestly I dont think it's much a Comparison..You say you learn knees and elbows and that may be true But 99% of TKD schools will not prepare you to deal with kness and elbows form the clinch... TKD is more of a distance stlye..most dont deal well with the clinch as hardly any train or spar with clinch fighting. TKD stlyist can very rarely deal with leg kicks and most dont even spar with punches to the head. Generally speaking MT fighters are exremly conditiones fighters and have to many weapons for your avg TKD guyt o deal with. Here is a Video Of a MT vs TKD ...I think it paints a pretty accurate picture of what would happen in most fights. http://www.bullshido.com/dl_goto.asp?id=5 -
Mike Tyson vs. all
TJS replied to Black Dragon's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
Sansooner- LOL "deadly strikes" and eye gouges..Have you ever tried eye gouging someone from striking range..you would have to gt close enough to Tyson to do that and One shot from tyson would proabably kill him. Tyson does not know how to defend takedowns...he would definetly have a punchers chance but i would give Tito about a 50% chance of winning by Ground and pound. -
nice..im sure it will be a blast.

TJS replied to Black Dragon's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
My instructor always says it his goal for every one of his Student to be better than he is.. I sure dont have to worry about it and he reminds me every time we spar that im a long waya away -

Street Fight; Using certain techniques
TJS replied to mouko_yamamoto's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
depends on the situation..I wouldent hesitate to kick someon in the groin in a Fight but it would have to be a pretty serious for me to gouge someones eyes out...but if i felt like i was in danger or a loved one was i would in a hearbeat. -
Warp spider- Find me one example of a Striker who has beaten in competent grappler in the UFC without Cross training in wrestling/jiu jitsu or some other grappling stlye. All of the Succesful Striker n the UFC are the ones who can either A) survive on the ground because of cross training in jiu jitsu/submission wrestling etc or B) have a strong wrestling background and can stay on their feet. Pedro Rizzo, Maurice Smith, Bas Rutten, Chuck Liddel, etc ..all of them are fomous "strikers" and all meet one of the criteria above. Are you saying There havent been any Built Athletes in the UFC? Whynot-Yes I agree there has never been a boxer of Tyson caliber in the UFC..I would love to see him fight but we all know it will never happen.

Headgear, cup, shingaurds, 16 oz gloves, mouthpiece-heavy contact We also slow it down and take all the pads off so you cant work more on technique. -
