Well, as i stated b4, our system goes: white, white w/ yellow stripe, yellow, yellow w/ green, green, blue, brown, red black. they each have a stripe in between. what we do is we have tips. its like a pretest, the first part is the form and if they pass they get a red tip. the 2nd part is combo techs and whatnot and then they get a black tip if they pass. Thats the pretest. when they get both tips it means they're ready to test.

thanks ninjanurse, thats the one! =) No, the school I go to is very small (in terms of size and student #). Although the master instructor's academy is VERY large (in terms of student #, the size is large, but not overwhelmingly large). He's getting a new academy built too, i think its supposed to be done next month (if its not already). The USA Masters academy. Havent seen it yet tho.

Heh, Im about 2 hours away from Rochester, towards the Penn border.

We do a white belt form that I cant spell, and then taegueks 1-8 which goes from yellow to brown belt 3rd grade (brown w/ red stripe). Then at Red belt you learn Kun Shoon (sp?) staff form 1. Then Koryo at black belt. Ba Sai Dai (sp?) USED to be a form black belts had to learn, but not anymore.

I thought she would but she didnt! She used regular kicks once in a while, but most of the time we were really close and she was just punching at me. However i did manage to block every head shot she threw at me. Got her good with my side kick too. still, close but no cigar. =\

I won 2 silver medals at the tourney. one for forms and one for sparring. CLOSE match in sparring, i mean really close. But i still think i shoulda won that damn gold for forms!!!!! they score u outta 10 (but no one ever gets a 10 and 9's are just as rare). My score for my form was this (there were 4 judges): 8.2 8.2 8.4 8.6 In no specific order. So the girl that won must have gotten a point or two higher than me. w00t! but those scores are still high! LOL I totally screwed up the last move on my step sparring. I did #4 for some reason instead of #6. I cant beleive i did that lol! Dont ask how i pulled that one off. My partner and I didnt win a medal for that event though. Oh well. Better luck next time. Anyway, we went to eat at a chinese place afterwards. They've got good food there ^_^ Oh yeah, and in the end they determine which school won the most gold medals and whoever wins gets the Team Championship Trophy. Our school won with 82 gold medals. I think we had about 32 ppl on team. 2 years running! w00t w00t!

Congrats! I actually just interviewed for a job myself! I'm pretty sure I got it, but I wont know for sure til monday.

Thats exactly what my idea was in my previous post. If I get in real close she'll have more difficulty hitting me with her stupid kick. Also, I found out I wont be sparring her because shes only a blue belt (lower than me). But I WILL be sparring a girl that spars just like her. I dont know why she suddenly changed her style of sparring, but she did. But either way, at least I know a few tricks that might help me get through it. Thanks everyone. The tournements tomorrow, wish me luck!!

If you are going out to see a movie I strongly recommend Pirates of the Caribbean! It's a GREAT movie. It's got action, comedy and a really good plot twist!

i'm 16

I've played the Street Fighter games. No. 4 is awesome!! I played it when i was in Japan last summer and I totally loved it! I've played one of the Tekken games at a friends house but I dont own any of them. I didnt much care for Tekken. I've played Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance at another friends house. That game is so gorey!! All those nasty fatalities! Ugh. At least I beat him (my friend) a couple of times ^_~. Umm, let's see, I think thats all. Unless I've played more but dont remember lol. But I wanna play Soul Calibur 2 when it comes out.
