  1. They have already fought twice. A new fight would depend on the rules. Shamrock by unanimous decision I love Karo but BJ would take it if he showed up prepared Murillo has better standup and would win, I doubt he would submitt him in an NHB match though. Tito, Jackson has not evolved with the game like tito but he is a better wrestler most likely..would proabably be fairly good fight Helio Rickson via RNC. No idea Randy by decision most likly but I wouldent rule frank out. Rickson but it would be a long fight.
  2. BAs Rutten's videos are great. He has a complet set form basics to advanced standup, takedowns, grappling, etc
  3. mikey burnett runs a lions den somewhere in oklahoma..im sure he has some good standup training
  4. Royce fought all those guys except Orlando weit and Guy mezger, Dan Severn Made his debut in UFC 4 I belive, Frye didint come until 7-8
  5. I just want to make one comment on one thing said... This is rediculous and i get sick or hearing it. Ken Shamrock-Obviously a talented submission fighter Remco Pardoel- 8 or 9 time European jiu jitsu champion and 3-4 time judo champion. alos holds a black belt in tae kwon do...yep he is a real scrub. Pat Smith -won the Sabaki Challenge in 1989 and Knocked out the legendary andy Hug in K-1..Another scrub I guess. Gerard was a very succesful Kyokushin Fighter who cross trained in Savate and MT. Minoki Ichihara was a full contact karate champion of Japan, I would think that means something, if not we can classify him as another scrub. Orlando weit was a decorated Muay Thai champion Keith hackney showed some solid standup skills. Dan severn Has won more wrestling Titles than i could list on this page. Guy mezger Was world Kickboxing champion with solid grappling skills. So the truth is ust because not all of these guys did well int here dosent mean they werent great int heir own right.
  6. Just out of curiosity does Hung Gar emphasize to take the fight to the ground with a takedown to gain the mount position and end a fight from there.
  7. I think it has helped judo as far as mma but people are going to soon realize he is getting top notch training and most schools around the world wont train you no gi like he has been doing.
  8. Sim- They wanted you to belive that because it was the truth, Royce got Bit in UFC 1 and a few people got eye gouged in a few shows. Infact if you used them and won you still got a vicotry you just had to pay a fine to the person you did it too. Zane frazier Kneed his opponet several times in the Groin in UFC 1, Royce Gracie Kneed Kimo in the Groin sevreral times. It happened..im sure if you were in there you could have used them more effectivly... Or maybe most people dont kick like wandy...like i said just because no one landed one dosent mean it wasant legal. Wrong again, One of Ken shamrocks opponets attempted a standing wrist lock on him...another tried to break one of his toes when they got caught in a heel hook(brilliant move). Alot of people would grab at fingers to break holds and such...maybe they just arent as effective as you think? Wrong yet again Keith Hackney aimed his Side kick and Emanuels Knee and hit him several times...Ever watch Pedro Rizzo fight? He broke dan severns knee with a round kick and hurt alot of other people. Glad to know you were there so you can clear things up for us now. Not an easy target...especially since the first thing everyone learns is to tuck their chin ..
  9. Covring up is just fine for sparring and i do it alot becuase it is quick and easy to get a counter off..The only way i would see it being a bad thing is if someone attacked you with a knife..since most people dont see knives and just htink they are being punched it would be a bad thing.
  10. most of that exixt's outside the UFC and mma...do you think there are no closed minded rude and obnoxious traditional or non competetive martial artists?...Trust me there are plenty you just dont hear as much form them.
  11. being strong and conditioned will help you just about anywhere but the techniques dont rely on strenght if you use proper technique.
  12. Do you punch people in the head/face?
  13. Muay Thai Comes from Thailand....It was designed for Thais....Thais are very small people..so yes it works well for small people also.
  14. broad question..boxing has very effective punches for alot of reasons...mainly becuase they are based on effectiveness and what works best in competition.
  15. I get more sick of everyone trying to decredit what they have done and talk about how their style dosent work in the real world.
  16. People want diffrent things, some people want the confidence and ability ot defend themselves in violent street situation.alot of times they dont want to devote years to traditonal martial art to get those results.
  17. If you like alot of free sparring Judo or Brazilian Jiu jitsu would be your best bet as far as grappling stlyes. Both are often sport oriented but can be highly effective in real situations if trained properly. Boxing,MT, San shou, kickboxing and certain stlyes of karate like Kyokushin would be your best bet as far as striking stlyes.
  18. Your right about that part, I have read some intresting studies done on police officers and knife attacks. Very very few knew they were being attacked with a knife until after it was over.
  19. Im sure the hundreds of thai fighters that have used it in fight found it useful.
  20. expect to devote a large portion of your life befor you can use the techniques succesfully under the stress of a real situation.
  21. A knee to his head, he is already supporting some of your weight spring of your base leg and as your going up clinch and knee him in the jaw. It works perfectly.
  22. Sano you should post some of the stuff you spout off here on Sherdog...they would have a field day with you
  23. I read one time that a karate guy got beat up because the got picked up and slamed on his head
