well exactly like i probably learn something new every 3 classes and if i don't like the technique than i won't practice it, i only "absorb" the techniques which i find will really work and i find that out when we spar at the end of class, but all the basics should be repeatedly taught, thay are the foundation of your training, although it really depends if your instructor is good or not, like for example he could be a good fighter but not a good instructor, sometimes it might be a blur but once you understand the basics it will be easier for you to understand the more advanced techniques and you will be able to become good FAST, i have been doing bjj for almost six months now and i can hold my own, i have also had challenges from other martial artists and i submitted them rather quickly, look into maybe it was a bad school. but kali is also really good i think i might start cross training in pekiti-tirsia,

Im really curious of what you guys think of kali, im interested in studying the art but I have realised that it might be a great weapons art. But why spend time traing in an art that is based on weapons fighting when only on the rare occasion will you be packing a pair of kali sticks? I mean i know kali has unarmed techniques, but when am i ever goin to have a rattan or a knife on me? Im hesitant to train in this art because to me it seems absolite, please educate me on what circumstances my kali training would be usefull to me? i do study boxing and bjj, im just curious about where you guys think kali training could come into play?

I have studied a few martial arts, but you know the saying, whats right for you, well i only found the right one after 7 months of training in various ma's , I currently train in boxing and brazilian jiu-jitsu, and am saving up ebough money to take a few private kali classes to familiarize myself with kali stick and knife fighting, i would just like to know, what martial arts you guys cross train in ? and how your time is distributed? i personnaly train 3 times a week in bjj and boxing 1 time a week. and what are your thoughts on cross training?

Your favourite technique(s)

i like to throw a few jabs than clinch throw a knee or two , go for a throw or foot sweep, than apply a submission through the attainment of a dominant position
