  7. yo man, i would have to say the best option for you is kajukenbo its a hard/soft style , that was formed in ww2 when five guys each of their respected ma's came together to form a street realistic martial art. kajukenbo has like 8 short forms, and they are easy to do and learn, i know the first one. its founders were all black belts in their styles. judo tang soo doo hawaiin kenpo kung fu jujitsu go to https://www.montrealmartialarts.com to find out more. my sifu/guro/master is an 8th degree bb in it. hes the highest ranking kajukenbo bb in canada. so if you got any questions ,ill ask him for ya.

  10. I studied praying mantis for a while, (northern seven stars). Its a whole style of kung fu and the mantis form is found in the northern shaolin system of kung fu. Because after the monks were beaten by it( wang lang beat them) they added it to their system. But praying mantis (northern seven stars) is a complete system on its on. Its got sweeps and strikes, but its doesn't emphasize kicking. It emphasizes very fast hand movements.

  20. Heres a crazy submission combo that one of the brazilian top team members taught me at a seminar. hope you like it. from guard, you use an armbar, the guy pulls his arm out, go to omoplata, its not working, keep control of the arm, and fall back (onto your back) and you have a triangle waiting for you. 1. armbar, guy pulls out his arm 2. omoplata 3. keep the arm, go back onto your back, (with him in your guard) and there will be a triangle choke waiting for you. enjoy
  21. YEAH jkd is one of the ma's that actually works under combat circumstances its just that your gonna have to get a qualified jkd instructor to teach it to you and developping knockout power takes time, not possible to do it in a day or month.
  22. superleeds im not sure what his original style was, im pretty sure it was boxing+wrestling, but now i know he trains in bjj/muay thai/boxing/wrestling
  23. CONTACT SPAR, WITH PEOPLE WATCHING YOU! this will partly get you ready, create a mock tournament at your school and have people cheer you and your opponent on. this will give you a feeling of whats its like. I was afraid on my first tourny but i got over it. stay calm, you don't want to be all stressed out and get tunnel vision. Good Luck
