I find a lot of good info on running on http://www.runnersworld.com/0,7904,,00.html This site is more geared toward serious runners(marathoners and such )but there is still some good info and really motivating articles on it.
I would watch cutting the carbs too much, your body still needs fuel. instead I would try to cut fat calories or total calories and up the cardio ,either time or intensity.
Amen to that brother. I am honestly getting tired of the whole MMA "fad". That is exactly what it's turning into, a fad . I for one would like to see traditional kickboxing make a come back. Sorry for the rant.
I have also read that cardio before weight training is more beneficial, because it gets your heart rate up before you lift. In fact I have started doing this also, but haven't noticed any difference. But then again everybody is different. Sorry I couldn't be much help and good luck on the weight loss.
I tend to keep my hand relatively straight and fingers together . This may sound strange but my index and middle fingers are slightly bent but my ring and pinky fingers are straight. This just happens to be the way that feels more natural to me.
A little wear and fraying is OK but recently I was at a tournament and seen a master with a belt that was frayed beyond belief, it looked terrible. I think there comes a time when you need to break down and get a new one.
