  1. Actually not realy what I expected. I was glad florian won, I was glad rashad won, I was hoping for Luke to win, and also for Diaz to win over sanchez. Oh well!
  2. LOL @ Military special forces being credible fortraining to H2H combat. They have a good mind set but there isn't some secret military techniques they use. same stuff you can get at your BJJ/karate/kung fu dojo down the street. you probably get better training to. This guy is a tard and I feel bad for the people t who get suckered into his junk he is trying to sale. reminds me of matt furey style of marketing.
  3. hi, how's it going? what type of kenpo you take?
  4. Your instructor is full of it.
  5. Light weights doesn't make you slow. Not training for speed it what makes you slow. Also who says he wrestles. He may I don't know but neither do you guys. Only thing written so far is he has a year of boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Thats it!
  6. I like y our pic's and I agree. I don't know any thing about the other 3 guys also on ufc 56 card hear there names before a few times on diffrent forums but haven't seen them fight. I don't agree that Hughes can beat joe standing. Joe would KO Hughes in my opinion if Hughes tried to stand and trade with him. It will be a good match. I don't see hughes KO'ing Riggs. So probably I still see Hughes with the Win. Although Joe could take the win also. Most likely it will go to hughes, via, TKO, submission, or more then likely judges decision.
  7. I wasn't a fan of Luke's until his fight with sam morgan I didn't like Joe until his fight against Jason. Yeah jason is unorthodox but I think Luke had to much skill and would have beaten jason. I thought early on it would have been Jorge Gurgel and Joe stevenson. Marie, who's your pic's for UFC 56 card? So why were you a Luke fan from the begging? You thought he was going to do good before he even faught?
  8. thats good! You ever plan on fighting in MMA?
  9. Alright! the "my art is to deadly" theories argument. sweet! Lets hear them. Probably something along the lines of eye gouges, groin shots, throat punches, pinching, bitting, the dim mak pressure points. the fact that you can't take your samari sword with you in the octagon. come on lets hear them.
  10. Edited) In all seriousness its important to learn to spawl. Stirking doesn't always work when some one tries to grab you. I would chance kneeing them when they shoot in on you. It woudl be better to sprawl and get back to the feet or sprawl on top of them and hold'em down and throw knee's that way. That is a very effective way to use knee's against a grappler. By combining them with a sprawl.
  11. subgrappler choked out the correct
  12. yeah it was a good show. I was hoping diaz would win also. I think they are both tools. Then the trash talking by diaz by not giving sanches in props after sanchez beat him. oh well! Over all great action packed fights. I was really impressed with Luke cummo and was hoping he would win. Both fighters are great! -Jeff
  13. cqc who you train with in BJJ in Ontairo?
  14. Missed it! Who was fighting on the bushido card. I haven't watched any of the recent prides lately. I have the old ones though. I think imes and rashad would get killed by UFC guys as well. Such as bunetello, sylvia, and especially arvolski Sanchez vs. Diaz was good. I was impressed about sanchez quickly taking diaz's back several times. Diaz is very flexible, he should pick up some of Eddie's guard. He coudln't keep sanchez from posturing up. Sanchez kept standing up in his guard and droping down elbows on diaz. I think if he was able to hold him down he would be more likely to sub him. Or worked on more wreslting to keep it standing he would be able to strike with sanchez more. Since sanchez didn't want no part of Diaz's striking since he kept shooting for the take down.
  15. TUF finals were better and more action packed the UFC 55. Awesome fights! I usually hate fights that go to decisions they are boring to watch. 3 out of 4 fights went to decision and all the fighters action packed and awesome. 3 out of my 4 picks won! well more like 2 out of 4. I wasn't sure about kit kope vs kenny florian, until kenny got mount on kit is when I picked florian to win. I knew before rashad and Imes fight. That rashad was going to win, but Brad Imes kept coming at rashad no matter how much punishment rashad gave him. Brad was like the terminater no mater how many times he was hit he just kept on comming to destroy rashad. Either way, rashad earned his win! He deserved it. He will be a force if he drops down to 205. Luke Cummo vs. Joe stevenson, Even though I was hoping luke would win. I like both fighters, and I knew joe was going to win. I didn't think it would go past the 1st or 2nd round let alone to a judges decision. Luke was awesome and I defiently think danna will bring him back to the UFC. Both fighters did awesome! Nick Diaz vs. Deigo Sanchez I thought Diaz was going to win. I was impressed with Deigo, I thought it was pretty lame the excuses and stuff Daiz said in his post fight interview. Diego was good to watch but I hate hearing him talk. He is annoying! Over all great fights! What did every one else think of the fights.
  16. Yes there is Taekwondo magazine, as well as many other magazines also. For kungfu, for Japense/Okinawan karate, grappling and many other mags out there.
  17. okay Never mind I guess I need glasses then. I was looking at your styles. Now I look at it again it it says TKD I barely skimmed at it before and thought it said JKD> I applogize my error!
  18. No prob, Don't you do any grappling in Jeet Kune do? I thought they did some ground work in that.
  19. I like both events even though I voted for pride. I like both I think pride has good heavy weight division. Heavy weights in UFC isn't that deep at all. Arlovski is great!, but I rather seem him fight higher caliber fighters. Light heavy in UFC is good with, bonnar, griffen, chuck liddel, courture, and horn and many others. Pride as equal good division such as silva, rampage, Ninja and shogun rua, arona and others. Pride doesn't have welter weight division and UFC's welter waits are stacked with good fighters. UFC got rid of the light weight division so that is why I like pride also. I like both events, they both have crappy events like the last pride, or good events. So it depends.
  20. I think bruce Lee would do horrible agianst fighers name he would be in his his late 60's if he was still alive. Bruce Lee in his prime would do pretty decent if he adapted and learned the info that is put out now. I think he would dominate pride bushido. His conditioning and speed of his hands and and how well he moved his body as well as his good sense of distance and timing, I think he would be a force to recon with.
  21. They probably learned from each other. Diffrence with Lee and Parker was parker created more of a structure where lee wanted to focus on ideas and concepts. Which in that point wasn't very structured so other people just took his moves that he was teaching at the time and declared them Gosepel. Thats why you get those diffrent sects in the JKD world.
  22. when you testing. Maybe do some cardio work. Like running and spriting to help with your stamina. More physical condtioning you are. better prepared becuase you have the endurance to do the strenous stuff.
  23. thats pretty good one bjj is #1, I went to my old instructors school. He was showing grappling techniques that were pretty lame. I mean extremely lame. Like trap and roll but with out using the hip bum. just trap arm and leg and then use y our other hand and use a middle knuckle push on the ribs to roll some one over, Or other horrbile techniques that don't work very well when some one rolls or puts on resistance. I loved rolling with every one though. ' Sad thing is past insructor knows stuff to teach better he just doesn't like grappling. I don't know why he insist on teaching junk.
  24. Since July 2001, but in febuary 2003 I joined the Army so I haven't really trained as much as I liked.
