Actually depending on what I have been doing with my pda it is a battery hog too. If I play games or take notes it slurps down batteries whole. If I have been reading it really isn't too bad on battery consumption. Actually, I am finding I really enjoy the whole ebook experience.

Have you ever noticed when you spar that some of your opponents do a much better job than others at getting their handpad caught in your gi top and opening it up?

Learning how do deal with life is also a little awkward at times too.

Practice, practice and more practice. Make sure your performance is fluid and make it really look like you know what you are doing. Actually all you have in your list sounds like a pretty comprenshive demo.

I also enjoy the tekki/naihanchi katas. They were my favorite at one time. Currently I have a fascination with hangetsu and wankan.

My primary style is shotokan. I have also studied shi-to ryu and shorin ryu and still practice many shorin ryu katas.

I let this one go for a bit to think about it. The best answer I can give at this point taking into consideration that I am not proficient with kama is do you prefer to work with the slashing and spinning moves of the kama. Or do you like the basic blocking, hooking and striking movements used with the sai. Actually we have a joke in my club that the first move you learn with the sai is to jump and get your feet out of the way when you drop one.

For women and MATURE, health knowledgable people....
SaiFightsMS replied to three60roundhouse's topic in Health and Fitness
Three60 it is not uncommon for that to happen to young women with extremely low body fat content. However I would strongly advise both of you to see a Dr. At least it wasn't a menopause question. -
It sits there on my desk looking at me like it is innocent. It is my cheap digital camera ($30). It sees nothing wrong with eating batteries; nothing whatsoever. It is some kind of a little monstor. It does take adequate pictures though. So do you have battery eating cameras?

So what is everyone asking for for xmas/hanukah/kwanzaa
SaiFightsMS replied to Phantasmatic's topic in General Chat
Bratt that is really not a strange wish. I have had too much experience with alzheimers. I always thought it was odd that they could remember things from years ago but not yesterday. Thinking about that makes me wonder what is the best part of our lives the days when we are young or the things we can remember. Did that make any sense? -

The ship broke in half - huh? I mean there are standards I understand that particular ship was made before double hulls were required but still. How can any responsible company transport something so hazardous in a definately unsafe ship. And the worst thing is there are other old ships like that one still in the water.

The more programs that run in the background using up ram the slower the computer functions in general. Adding more ram sometimes helps.

Sooner or later most people reach a point in their training where there progress slows. It can be a real downer when that happens. But that is when you really begin to find out why you are training in the first place. If all you want is rank that is when many quit. There is nothing wrong with waiting an extra three months to test. There is nothing with having to wait a year or two between tests. Actually at higher ranks the time between testing spreads out a lot. I am not eligible to test again for at least two years.

Asthma affecting my sparring and stamina training
SaiFightsMS replied to circa02's topic in Health and Fitness
Some days the asthma can be much more of a problem than other days. I also have asthma. And it is a drag to keep working but make slower progress than everyone else. I find that using my inhaler prior to training can make a difference. And I have also found that if I do no physical activity at all the breathing situation actually gets so much worse. So for me struggling to keep up is definately better than just sitting and not trying period. -

In a kind of a tough man thing where kicks were allowed I saw a guy throw a round house kick to his opponents face right out of the corners. He did some serious damage to the guys face (broken bones - teeth) even with foot pads on. That was an instep kick and the other guy even had on headgear. He hit the guy right in the face instead of on the side of the head.

ROFL SubmissionFighter that was cute.
