  1. You'all aren't jealous or anything are you?
  2. So just out of curiousity were those the same people you hung around with in high school?
  3. I am Jetpac Man. I love the outdoors; the sense of freedom, of adventure. I love the sensation of free-fall, and would parachute and bungee jump on a moment's notice. I know where I want to be, and I strive to get there, making great effort to collect what I need. I let nothing stand in my way. (If you were not Jetpac Man you would be a Thrust-ship.)
  4. Congratulations Karate kid.
  5. What is a down thing about being a martial arts student? How about having people trying to figure out why a middle aged female would want to do such a thing.
  6. Freestyler the questions you raise and the answers to them are kind of what martial arts students mean when they talk about the vague area of mental toughness. I think it would be very interesting, and appropriate, to be able to combine these two threads.
  7. Over 40 or no longer kids hmmmm. How does that sound.
  8. I can't believe there are idiots who bidded on that.
  9. Ah MonkeyGirl learning to drive is a journey. And one that does not end when you get your drivers license. When my younger sister got her drivers license I was the one who spent most of the time with her supervising her on her learners permit. (I am quiet a bit older than she is and had better nerves and patience then than did the parents.) Actually getting your license is in many ways like getting your black belt it is a beginning of a new learning process. And a beginning of a big time of responsibility. And one heck of an adventure. When I took drivers ed in high school we had a real experience. In one of the other classes that used the car I was assigned too they had a real adventure. They were going through a traffic light (a green one too) and were hit broadside. It turns out the person that hit them and totaled the drivers ed car was a fellow high schooler who had sneaked the car out against the parental orders. You can imagine it was a very sobering experience to see the twisted car I had been in just a few hours earlier.

  13. ROFL Kickchick. So how many of the guys are bald and how many of your classmates are now fat?
  14. Well I have finally figured out some of the time zones. When it is afternoon for me it is evening(5 hours difference) for my friends in the UK. When it is the middle of the night for me my friends in Australia are up (11 hours difference). So I know when Al comes on it is really time for me to go to bed.
  15. I have become a "cavy slave".
  16. Well Kickchick at least this topic was not revived until the beginning of Advent.
  17. It is the nature of forums such as this that sometimes people come, stay a season and then go on to other things. Nothing odd or unusual just human nature.
  18. Welcome to the forum.
  19. Although this could provide some interesting discussion. I think it could lends itself to personal attacks. So I am going to close this.
  20. I think it may surprise us how many there are of us. When people start admitting that they are part of the club.
  21. Sometimes I think it is.
  22. Sooner or later everyone who trains hard will experience that type of problem. We seldom think about the risks of what we do but they are still there.
  23. Okay who wants to admit that they are a member of the over 40 club?
  24. Here is a link for an interesting site for those who are trying to figure out what Thanksgiving is. http://teacher.scholastic.com/thanksgiving/
