ARGH!! lol, might I regret making my "your wish is my command statement"? Hehe, you're such a flirt iamrushman!
-
Surprisingly, I happen to agree whole-heartedly with the way things are being carried out at the moment... Despite what people have said about Bush in the past, he has to be commended for getting the job done without being too rash, and therefore tending to the expectations of the majority.

Jeez, this week is just going from bad to worse... Can this week possibly get any worse?

lol, your wish is my command...bet you don't believe I've really had orange hair.

tournament tips

Hmmm, maybe you should just ignore my last post, I didn't realise you were doing a mixture of kickboxing, karate and...umm, what else? I've never come across such a class so I have no idea as to what stance would be best for you...I suppose it depends on which style your class is leaned towards. -
The first thread is closed.

Jeez, I keep forgetting about this. Ok, I'll scan some tomorrow...what colour hair would you like to see?

Thanks for that advice Ken....gotta say I highly doubt I'll be following it every day, but maybe now and again when I feel guilty for neglecting my upper body. lol KickChick, maybe brocolli is just as painful as push-ups, I'll remember that next time I'm convinced I'm gonna break my nose because my arms have gave way...

Ok, no kick to the groin. More anger is surely a bad thing to work against.

We get told to always use the kickboxing stance. I'm certainly not an authority on it though.... Good luck in your forthcoming tournaments. -
Anyone else doing the GNR tomorrow? Can't wait to participate for the 3rd time!

My sister trains with me in the same class...we started together. We also started karate together 6 years ago, and left for kickboxing...and we're both gonna start either judo or jiu jitsu together. My boyfriend has been doing tae kwon do since he was about 6 years old...and my son is only 10 months old so it might just be a little early for him yet. Both my parents hate martial arts, and fitness in general though, which is a shame.

Hi kickbuttnat, glad to see another female amongst us.
-
Ouch! Jeez, does it really hurt a man that much to give him a kick there? Hmmm *evil grin*
-
And yeah, taezee, blue belt really suits you...don't think I've come across another blue belt in the forums.

Jeez, KickChick, how many types of push-ups? Ugh, I feel sick just looking at that list. I think I can only do about 30 maximum of the normal ones...I think you termed them "Standard"...and I've only just got the hang of doing one or two (quite seriously) triangle push-ups, which I don't recall seeing in your list... Well, hmmm, I might try out or two of those other types one day.. lol kickbuttnat, nice way of looking at it.

what's everyones favourite move?
babysteffee replied to kickbuttnat's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
lol! ^ Hmm, at the moment I like the front kick (presumably with a name I don't know of?) because...because...um, actually, I like all kicks, except the side kick because I'm not flexible enough to be able to do it right...I always worry about dislocating my hip or something. -
Patrick's right. Nobody is ever gonna agree in politics...we're always gonna have the right-wings, the lefties and the pacifists etc...so there's really no point in arguing your point in the hope that others will be persuaded. At present, my opinion is fluctuating between that of the pacifist, not wanting to inflict more pain and suffering on the world, and right-wing, understanding full-well that in the end, we may end up having to cause the destruction to the same extent as if we just went right ahead and...yes well. It's just so sad. And I don't think there is one right or wrong answer.

Glad to see you're ok TOMMY. Thoughts and prayers today for all those bereaved.

Everyone is right...I personally believe a war would be the most destructive outcome and should be avoided at all costs...probably I am being selfish - the UK will be the first to be destroyed, my family, friends and loved ones...surely it's understandable that someone from the UK should be defensive of their country... I do agree that we have to back the US and "stand shoulder to shoulder with them" but I don't agree that we (and other democratic societies in the Western world) should be forced into war...how democratic is that? Just I'm not convinced America, or us, or the democratic world or whatever and whoever this war against terrorism is going to be between, are going to win...there can't be any winners if everyone in the world is dead.
-
Everyone agrees that allies need to be there for America, but a war would only end in more destruction. It is true though...where were America when we were in the middle of (LOSING) a war...they weren't helping us then. Yet the UK is expected to jump when the BIG Boys say so... Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with standing by America, but our little country would be obliterated in five minutes if there were to be WW3...surely nobody can possibly be wanting this.

CONGRATS to you four (and Tobias_Reece's dad)
