  1. Congrats, the worst part is over now. In a few days you'll be feeling like new.
  2. Myself and two others began training at the same time and for the most part we advanced in rank together. But at one point they were promoted to first 1st kyu and I was not. I didn't get mad or jealous, I was very proud of them and congratulated them on their achievement. I did however reflect upon my on training and began to work even harder to achieve my goals. As the story goes we all were promoted to Shodan at the same time in a very nice ceremony. We all still train together today. I too don't understand the higher ranks behaving the way they are. Being a Martial Artist means much more then just having certain skills. Our Sensei has been training and teaching for 38 years and is still very humble. He wants you to question techniques and is the first one to listen to suggestions students may have. He actually named a certain technique after me. With all that said it sounds like the higher dans need a lesson in what a Martial Artist truly is all about. They should be encouraging you and helping you along in your journey, not talking behind your back and looking down on your progress. If you show them respect they should return the favor. As the others have said, try talking to them and find out why they feel the way they do. Maybe it's a simple misunderstanding that can be fixed. Have you tried to ask them for some advice and make them an active part of your development? Or would that totally be out of the question?
  3. Hello and welcome to KF.
  4. Welcome to KF.
  5. Well, good luck to you two. I had mine out probably twenty years ago and it wasn't that bad. I got knocked out completely. I sat in the chair and they gave me an IV and told me that I might feel a warm sensation. Then they used the count backwards from ten trick. I think I made it to eight. I don't know what they use but it's some good stuff. The next thing I know I'm in the car with my Mom and a mouth full of cotton. All in all not a bad experience. Just be sure not to suck through a straw, that will give you dry sockets.
  6. As Sohan said above, keep your stretching at work light and don't try and over do it. Not sure what kind of work you do but if it involves sitting in front of a computer most the day your muscles can become stiff and trying to stretch them all out during a break can cause tears. Stretching is great if done properly, slow and gradual increases is the best way to go. Glad to hear you've started back into Karate. Good Luck.
  7. It would be a good looking island but poor Kate wouldn't get a minutes rest. Too bad Shannon is no longer with them. I have heard that they are looking for two more female cast members, one being attractive and in her twenties. So maybe help is on the way. Henry say's in the finale that the only way to find rescue is to follow the heading of 325 degrees. He also say's there would be no way to find your way back. Rescue, heck I don't know. They may be better off staying on the island.
  8. You're right KarateK. There are 23 episodes for season two. The horse is part of Kate's past and I don't believe we see it again, in true LOST fashion. The Polar Bear is part of the Zoological research taking place there. It's just weird to see a Polar Bear on a tropical island. That has to be one unhappy bear. Waiting for season three here.
  9. Hello Amy, Welcome to KF.
  10. Welcome to KF. I have a Peek-a-Poo.
  11. Welcome to KF.
  12. Well deserved Sohan. Keep up the good posting.
  13. I forgot about Desmond Red J. He would be the obvious choice. Shotokan-kez, they would get their supplies from Dharma, you'll see that they are getting resupplied on the island later in season two. Who are the "Others"? Well, they aren't who they appear to be but who they are exactly has not been answered yet. I've heard that season three will revolve around how the "Others" came to be on the island and who they really are. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
  14. OK, the next episode is called "Collision", a Ana centric episode and then you finally get to see "What Kate Did" with the next one. These two shows will answer some questions with these two ladies. Not sure why Walt was all wet. Never been answered. Sure added to the spooky factor though. Yeah, they should stay on the island. Jack can start a medical practice, Sayid can be the Police Chief, Charlie can recruit some folks for a band, Locke can be in charge of adventure excursions and Ekco can be the local Minister. What else do you need. OK, maybe a local Pub. Maybe Jin and Sun could run that.

    Oops!!!

Wow! I hope you don't have to wait that long for surgery if needed. Maybe the Arthroscopy won't be to bad, at least they can get a better look at the damage. Good Luck!
  16. Yeah, Red J. I believe it was don't push the button the button is bad. However, if you don't push the button bad things seem to happen. All of the Walt sightings make a little more sense now since Ms. Klugh (sp?) asked Michael if Walt had appeared in more then one place with him. Michael had a completely puzzled look on his face. Hey, shotkan-kez welcome to the LOST thread. Well, they won't get rescued in season two. Michael and Walt head off to get rescued, so says Henry. What is the next episode you guys will be watching in the UK?
  17. That was a good episode. Ana turns out not to be so bad. You'll learn more about Ana in the next episode. Did you like the way Walt talks backwards?
  18. Welcome to KF.
  19. I remember you Budderfly, Welcome back. Good Luck with the new job.
  20. Welcome to KF.
