  1. As much as I would like to believe those statements, I would need some form of proof on the Bruce Lee comment. Chuck Norris is a Christian. He has talked about his faith quite openly in these last few years.
  2. I just added that for spite. It would probably be more like shot 20 times.
  3. Welcome caturpilar.
  4. Hi Rick....welcome.
  5. No, in the ghetto they would have shot him six times and then stabbed him some, and then run like the cowards they are for ganging up on a lone victim, after finding out he only had about 20 bucks in his wallet.
  6. Dog/Metal.....I guess I am a stubborn, but loyal cuss. Pitbull with jaws of Steel. Not great but not bad....
  7. Nice pics. You got that whole intimidating, red eyed demon thing goin' on. Congrats.
  8. Hey, they got some pretty big guys in Fiji......I think....
  9. Kendo is of Japanese origin. Haidong Gumdo is of Korean origin. They are not related in any way, save for my earlier post. Go here to find out more... http://www.estradatkd.com/
  10. Wierd, and I always thought Kendo was Japanese. Kumdo is the Korean equivalent of Kendo. Japan kept anything originally Korean from being openly practiced during the occupation of Korea. Each country claims it influenced the other's sword arts. In Japan, you have the Samurai. In Korea, you have the Samurang. Each claims their art is the first and was copied by the other.
  11. My apologies. FOX is a little behind the times on this one. In my pathetic defense, I don't live in New Zealand. SORRY FOR THE TONE.
  12. Having a bad day are we?
  13. Check out this story. I am LOVING IT!!! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,131938,00.html Pilsung to Karate experts!
  14. I think PJ might be talking about Kumdo, which is almost identical to Kendo, just with a Korean name. Haidong Gumdo is an original Korean sword art that was created for melee style battle, in other words, to take on multiple opponents at once. I have the video from Turtlepress and it is quite the sword art. Very fluid and powerful.
  15. Heard Chuck on The Sean Hannity radio show on Tuesday. What a humble guy. One of my heroes.
  16. I impatiently wait for a school to come to the Kansas City Metro area..........it is my dream ART. I would love to study this sword art. I would drop everything else.
  17. You're very welcome. Nice quote. I like it. This has been a very satisfying article for me and has sparked much, peaceful and civilized debate. Thanks again to all who have contributed. Pilsung!
  18. That is a great word for it monkeygirl. Sorry about not giving a warning on mulletsgalore.com, I didn't dig very deep on my first go around. I can only take so much, after laughing so long, I can't breathe.
  19. Static stretching has always been a problem for me. I can kick over my head when warmed up, but I have achieved this by dynamic stretching. Back in '95, I was stretching in class and something in my left hip just gave. I went from 12 inches above the floor to about 3 inches above the floor in side splits. Hurt like the dickens, and I have had hip issues since. Dynamic stretching is great for increasing cold flexibility. Check out the Health and Fitness section here on KF. There are some great stretching threads to help out.
  20. If you're going down I-35, you go right past Ottawa.
  21. Ottawa is about 35 miles south of Olathe, KS. I work for GBA in Lenexa, KS. My office used to be downtown, but we moved about 3 years ago.
  22. Amen Tomahawk! Last Samurai, Once Upon a Time in China, the upcoming, Hero, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon would all be great examples.
  23. I am a CAD drafter and "proofing" is part of my job as well, sorry.
  24. Just for clarity and to cut the confusion for some, and because I am picky....it's Tae Kwon Do, not Tai Kwon Do. I know, I am being petty, but it is my art.
  25. That is what Chuck Norris wanted to address with his program. That and to keep kids off drugs.
